LG SJ2 is £159, available for £135 on eBay in damaged box.

Can I position subwoofer on its side under my tv stand or will that effect the sound from it?

Could I use this as a bluetooth speaker set-up without connecting to a TV?
    adil171's avatar
    Yes you most certainly can….

Just put it on Bluetooth mode and connect your phone/tablet etc

You can use the tv/media devices optical connection. And it has bluetooth pairing. No HDMI connections.

    In all honesty, it’s cheap.

But you could have had the s801 for 339 with 250 quid cash back last month. Blown this out the water.

Remember, SUBWOOFER is WIRED, not bluetooth

Bluetooth? Or did you mean to say wireless?

Does the subwoofer connect to the soundbar or your tv? My tv is on the neighbouring wall and neighbours mosn about the sound so i was thinking hook this up to the opposite wall which is where we sit anyway.

I'm not sure it would matter which it was connected to, as you'd have the soundbar under/over the TV any way, so the cable would come grim the same area.

Or are you saying you'd position the soundbar behind you? Which would invert the sound. It would sound like everything was happening behind you, and things meant to sound front left, would come from rear right.

But moving the sub away from the neighboring wall would be ideal.

My neighbours have their TV too loud. I fancy getting one of these, to position the sub aimed right at them.

No optical cable in the box to connect to tv. Using Bluetooth there is a noticeable lag between the video and audio. Sound though seems good for the price.

I have had the older model of this for years and can recommend it. Samsung's App to control it was also pretty good.
