Sony KD55X85KU

Breathtaking colours make everything so real

Over a billion colours are brought to life by TRILUMINOS PRO™ and our 4K HDR Processor X1™. With extreme contrast, everything you watch feels so real.

Fast-moving action, ultra smooth

Enjoy smoother motion and transitions on this Sony BRAVIA 4K TV with high 120Hz refresh rate. You'll also see sharp details in fast moving scenes with Motionflow™ XR. This innovative technology creates and inserts extra frames between the original ones, comparing key visual factors on successive frames then calculating the split second of missing action in the sequences.

Super 4K resolution, whatever you’re watching

See glorious 4K pictures, rich with real world detail and texture, exclusively powered by our 4K HDR Processor X1™. Images filmed in 2K and even HD are upscaled close to 4K levels of detail by 4K X-Reality™ PRO using a unique 4K database.

Hear high quality sound

Designed to complement the sound quality and slimness of the TV with its unique new shape, our X-Balanced Speaker drives movies and music with clear sound.

Experience the thrills of the theatre

See all your favourite movies in a new way with more drama and realism on a 4K Ultra HD TV that's designed to create a real theatre experience at home. Dolby Vision™ brings scenes to life authentically while Dolby Atmos™ fills the room with immersive sound.

Hands-free help from Google

With hands-free voice control built into Google TV, you can set aside your remote and simply use your voice to control your TV. Ask Google to find a specific title, search by genre, and get personalised recommendations on what to watch by saying, "Ok Google, what should I watch?". Even get answers on screen, control smart home devices, and more.

Flush Surface for more immersive viewing

As the bezel is extremely narrow, your eyes naturally focus on the picture, not what's around it.

Incredible deal from the best TV brand! A slap in a face of the Hisense nonsense plaguing these forums!

But hisense is only £200 and has just as many k as this one from Sony. 4k TV is 4k TV right (sarcasm).

God I started researching tvs about a month ago and it was arduous. Ended up buying middle of the road and waiting for November to get what I actually want I think.. Fingers crossed I'm just happy with middle of the road (edited)

Nice TV, still salty though from my last Sony 55" FALD first gen HDMI 2.1 (supposedly) which the world was promised on specs but only half was delivered and then maybe via firmware updates then not at all.
Nonetheless my next TV will probably be a Sony as well although only after I verify it actually has all stated specs upon release and fully functioning.

Is recommend going for the Sony X90K aand spending a little more as it has the newer XR processor & better local dimming, I just upgraded from a Samsung 65" Q8, to a 75" X90k and very happy with it (edited)

What size have you got? I'm considering an X90K or holding out for the X90L if it's much better.

The 50" is on Amazon for £649 right now, seems to be the cheapest it's been this year.
