Cheap but, only 50/60hz IPS LCD panel, direct lit, LED back light with NO local dimming. Only 2 x hdmi 2.0 ports.

Probably just about fine for some basic TV if your on a tight budget, or a 2nd set in a bedroom etc.

The only other sets around this price are also similarly basic like Bush, JVC, Hisense, Hitachi, Polaroid, Sharp, TCL, Toshiba.

Is the Hisense an android tv? I am looking for a 43 inch 4k tv with Android operating system or Fire TV built in, around £250. Bought Hisense 43A63HTUK from Argos but it turned out VIDAA tv. (edited)

I've got a very similar 43inch 4k LG Smart TV and I can say they're fantastic! Got it in my bedroom on the wall.. The amount of stuff you can do with the smart features is great and freeview play is a bonus.. If you're thinking do I don't I.. I would go for it..

Also whilst Smart features are useful in a TV eventually they become outdated or the TV won't receive anymore software updates. In this instance you can always plugin a device such as Amazon Firestick, Nvidia Shield TV, Google TV, Roku, custom Android box, amongst others to give you these features and more, so never worry about the Smart TV features just accept them as a bonus and don't buy a TV based on the smart TV features it has as you can always use a 3rd party solution.

Can you setup a specific program to startup automatically when switch on the TV like android tv. For example I am currently watching TV sky news and switch off and then when I switch it on I want sky news to continue playing.
