Any idea how this compares to the Toshiba QLED?

Disregard screen size ofc. Not really fussed about smart features as use Roku. (edited)

The QA5D is one of their best built models in production at the moment. Better quality parts than this cheaper model. And better image quality too with the better QLED panel.

if this is anything like the 42" version i had, then its utter garbage

We have a 42" Toshiba too, not the best. The App needed to update things on the TV stopped working months ago and has not yet been fixed.

Toshiba, then Hisense, then Sharp in that order imo.
