Tried this brand recently and was pleasantly surprised at how creamy the taste was. Would definitely buy it again and at 0.19p that is a bargain. Good find!

    "mostly potato" yum indeed!
"sugar" The deal is for the unsweetened version which does not have any added sugar.
"seed oil" Rapeseed oil is a healthy oil, high in monounsaturated fats and omega-3 fatty acids.

Just because something has several ingredients added does not make it unhealthy... A good example of this would be a smoothie bowl.

Why are you only fixating on the ingredients and not the nutritional composition? This milk alternative is also typically lower in calories, fat, and cholesterol than dairy milk, whilst also being free of lactose, cow abuse, and the same levels of environmental damage as dairy. (edited)

Bought some a few weeks ago and whilst not everyone at home was a fan I thought it was okay, particularly with coffee. It was quite sweet and had a unique taste but okay in general. Quite high in carbs if I remember too.

This unsweetened DUG product actually seems to be low in carbs:

This contrasts with the DUG original which is 5.8g carbs per 100ml (with more sugar).

Dairy farmers must be fuming. After years of being screwed by the supermarkets on price they now have to contend with this….(fierce)

We should get the world's smallest violin for dairy farmers, abusing cows and the environment for adults to drink bovine breastmilk (despite every other species weaning off milk past infancy).

Thankfully, animal-free dairy (precision fermentation) is going to gradually replace dairy farming anyway. That's milk molecularly identical to cow's milk but made via microbes and cow DNA in a process similar to brewing beer. Animal-free dairy is suspected to have no cow abuse, no lactose, no antibiotics, and no hormones, whilst being considerably better for the environment. Even Sky News was just talking about dairy-free milk 2 weeks ago. Exciting times are ahead! Unless you're a dairy farmer, of course.

Always reminds me of the Dog Milk sketch on Red Dwarf

    Holly:
Cow's milk. Ran out of that yonks ago. Fresh and dehydrated.

    Lister:
What kind of milk are we using now?

    Holly:
Emergency back-up supply. We're on the dog's milk.

    Lister:
    Dog's milk?!

    Holly:
Nothing wrong with dog's milk. Full of goodness, full of vitamins, full of marrowbone jelly. Lasts longer than any other type of milk, dog's milk.

    Lister:
    Why?

    Holly:
No bugger'll drink it. Plus, of course, the advantage of dog's milk is that when it goes off, it tastes exactly the same as when it's fresh. (edited)

Funnily enough I bought some this morning. I was expecting to pour it down the sink after the first taste, but it isn’t too bad. A little bitter, but I added some stevia and it was quite nice. I will be buying more … and I’m definitely not vegan (edited)

I've got through a few of these and they're perfectly fine for me... and no need to add any sweeteners IMO. Great deal at this price, I'm assuming that you get downvoted for including the dreaded term 'vegan' in the title.

Instead of paying that silly price for oat milk, have you not tried making your own. I did it when I had a treehugger living with me, and it's easy enough, whether oat, nut or rice..
    Sweeten to your taste.
Too much faff for one, so now I drink black

Careful with the pea protein. That seems to be the latest contra for some people's health. Unfortunately it is a cheap filler
    Kizwiz6's avatar
    Kizwiz6
Any source to back up your claims that pea protein is unhealthy?
