    Why do they say “vine ripened?” - all tomatoes grow on a vine ………..(it’s a pet hate)

    A lot of tomatoes are actually picked green and shipped out like that to supermarkets to allow for longer shelf life. However, when it's picked like this the tomato tend to not get its full flavour profile compared to if its left to ripen on the vine and then picked. That's why it's better to grown your own tomatoes as you will be able to get far better tasting tomatoes for much better value! (edited)

    Yeah small cherry vine tomatoes, its great served whole in salads 🥗

    They are bigger than cherry tomatoes and are nice and sweet tasting, they are usually our favourite tomatoes as they are reasonably priced and full of flavour, have some heat

    They also keep fresher for longer than a lot of others. Hate they did away with dates, some supermarkets are clearly dumping older stock into home deliveries.
