I’ve come to the conclusion much of the imported salad stuff is a false economy. It has sat sweating in plastic wrap for so long before it reaches the supermarket never mind home that by the time you come to use it half has already rotted. Personally I’d rather pay a little more for a more fresh locally grown letticue, especially at this time of year when they are coming into season.
