Top of the range Weber Plancha on the 20% off offer reduces to £40 + Delivery in basket (it's already heavily reduced) at B&Q here, sits on top of the grates so no special fitting required, just needs to fit your grill size wise.

The Deluxe Plancha sits on top of the cooking grates of your gas barbecue so you can adjust the position of this.
It’s perfect for barbecuing a range of delicate food, such as scallops, eggs, sliced vegetables and smaller food that would typically fall through the cooking grates. Its glossy, porcelain-enameled surface is easy to clean and does not require seasoning. There is a grease port at the back is the surface so grease doesn't build up.

They're excellent, that's what I use mine mainly for and things like Philly Cheese Steaks and Breakfast Fry Ups etc

Also because of the coating metal BBQ tools don't scratch it, but recommend a plastic scraper for cleaning after use though (edited)

I own the Weber Crafted plancha for Genesis/Smokefire and they are really good planchas, The materials used on these heat up and clean up really well after use, with a plastic scraper and a wipe over in the sink with a non abrasive sponge or cloth

This is the one I believe it is being sold here by B&Q over half the price of what it is being sold at WowBBQ wowbbq.co.uk/cat…466 (edited)

These are a lot bigger and easier to cook on, than the circular ones, depends on how often you use it, if only a couple of times a year then probably not, but if a method you use regularly, I'd give it some consideration

Given this is universal, does this just go on top of the existing grill? I have a Weber spirit e-320

Sorry I see you put it in description. Any thoughts on how it would compare with this version:

Both seem to be cast iron (edited)

Difficult to tell from picture, but that may sit inside the frame where the grill goes? if designed for a dedicated B&Q grill, But if sits on top of the grill as well, it just depends if you want to pay extra for the Weber as they seem similar size wise and materials used (edited)

What's the hole at the back for ? Does the grease just drip onto the BBQ ? Apologies if a stupid round of questions

Most Weber Gas Grills have a drip tray underneath the grill that the grease from the plancha hole would funnel it into, for pellet grills, you can with some models position a drip tray underneath the hole to catch it.
