sorted byWii consoles can still be a lot of fun. You can buy an hdmi adaptor lead if your modern TV doesn’t have the older socket connectors (scart etc) And if you are the type who likes to tinker you can mod these and then emulate a lot of older machines such as GameCube, mega drive, SNES etc. Good for a project as can end up taking a lot of time. The fact these are still for sale shows how sturdy a product they are.
For some reason many console owners selling to second hand stores live in absolute filth and have bugs in their consoles

It plays Wii games too so you're paying just £40 extra to play the Wii U games, which can be picked up cheap nowadays (edited)
Mod the thing, a, straight forward thing to do, many vids on Facebook, etc, for some fantastic retro gaming
Official wii remotes are difficult to source at a reasonable price, particularly the motion plus(the copies are rubbish)
