Purchase authentication

It states “We have sent you a text message to your registered cell phone number” however it never arrives?

    Since it says cell phone it sounds like a US based company. My first thoughts would be that you might need to check your number is saved on their system in the correct format for their site to recognise as a UK number (+44, Maybe drop the first zero etc.)

    Try sending yourself a text from your own phone too. Sometimes texts can get blocked up and sending yourself a message will make all your missing messages appear at the same time.

    If you are on one of the phone companies that piggybacks on EE, some of them don't support shortcode messaging and you may not be able to receive these kinds of text messages. Does that sound like you could be affected?

    Finally, if all else fails, contact the company that's trying to send you this text and let them know. They may be able to either get it fixed, or offer a different form of verification like an automated phone call instead, or maybe email.
