Lazy spa turning itself off....

Anyone have any advice as to why my new Lazy Spa Miami is turning itself off? I decided to leave it running (heater and filter) so that its ready whenever I want to use it but I keep finding it's turned itself off and the temp has dropped too far....no error code, just says END and flashes???

Funny how you always have an answer for other people's (possibly) complicated issues yet you can't even tie your own shoe laces.

They have a built in timer to switch off every 72 hours. Can’t override it. Wish you could as I often work away for mon-fri and just want to leave it running. All you need to do is turn it on again and it resets the 72 hour timer.

186 was taken so that ends that terrible come back (edited)

So hook it up to a smart plug and schedule it to go off and then on 30 mins later every 2 days..... problem solved.

At least she didn't join to get for a freebie. We all started somewhere. I'd like to think she'll come back and acknowledge the replies, but if not she won't be the first of the last.

RTFM much? ... See the bottom of Page 8: bestwaycorp.co.uk/Pro…934

I had a Lay-Z-Spa Monaco few years ago. It was fun for a bit, but only lasted 2 years with the heater 'egg' having to go back twice before I totally gave up on it as a horrendous waste of money. The model I had also purposely turned itself off after something like 72 hours.
Doubt the OPs issue is anything to do with it being 2kw, as they're designed to run off standard mains (and 2kw is significantly less that most kettles ...as one of the highest power items in most homes). (edited)

True. 2kw is not a high powered appliance on its own and I read that these lazy spa don't need any special wiring. But if the OP has other high powered appliances connected to the same circuit and all operating at the same time, it could overload the circuit.

Just a possibility to consider. We had an oven which kept blowing the fuse. On its own it was not high powered, but when it is switched on with 4 high powered hob, extractor fan, as well as all the other appliances in the kitchen going at the same time, the circuit couldn't cope.

Does it give any error codes on the display?

Might be worth contacting the person you've hired it from. If there is an issue they will hopefully be able to swap the pump over for a spare

They have a timer feature. Read the instructions completely.

There's no bigger turn off than sitting in someone else's fizzy filth.

Unfortunately not...it’s not just turning the unit on again, you have to press the “heat” button to get it going again.

There might be a way still to rig it up.

They auto turn off after a while unless you use the control panel. I always run the massage system (bubbles) for a few seconds when adding chemicals. Mines been on for about a week now without cutting out.

Unfortunately, with zero intervention or timer, the spa WILL turn off after 72 hrs. Furthermore, even WITH timer the most you can get is 5 days (read on) and even that is NOT on a continuing cycle (it's a one-time thing, until you set it again).
Looking at the manual here, on page 15, in the Power-Saving Timer Button section, it's pretty clear.
The feature accepts 2 parameters: X (how long shall I stay on) and Y (how many hours from now do I start that command).
    X can be 1 to 48
    Y can be 0 to 99
So .... if you set Y to 72 hrs, and you set X to 48 hrs, and then manually turn the heat on, you will have the following regime:
Spa performs as it normally would for 72 hrs, heating the spa. At the 72nd hour, when it would normally auto-turn off, the spa gets commanded to heat for another 48 hours. So 5 days after any humans have fiddled with the panel, you still have heat.

For myself tho... I can't stay out of the spa, so it's irrelevant - my usual use pattern resets the 72 hr clock, so I never have to deal with the limited timer function.

I thought I would post this here because I just worked it out, and other posts on the interwebs seemed lacking.

And on a side note.....OP was a definite drive by.

That being said... the value of a good post is only 1% for the OP... I went looking for this, a random guy in Canada, and it didn't exist so I had to make it.

Why does my lay z spa turn off before the 72 hours? It only stays on for approx 48 hours which is very annoying.

I'm having the same issue but in my situation I hit my reset button and the bubble button turns on the bubbles and will run for a long time but if I hit the heater button the heater will cut itself off within a matter of a minute or less and only happens when I try turning the heater on. I have to reset to turn on again but every time I hit the heater it cuts off. Any ideas as to why or how to fix?

We have hired a Lay-z-spa Paris for the week. It’s been shutting off every 15mins. We thought it was the kids pushing buttons but while we were in it the tub shut off after around 10/15mins. We have ran the bubbles and buttons were pressed so it wasn’t like the 72hr energy saver kicked in.

I’ve changed the filter in case it was a filtration issue.

    Any suggestions?
