Good price for a smaller four person hot tub from CleverSpa - only £250 plus £12.50 named day dleivery. It says some available via click & collect but I couldn't find any in my areas, or several others I tried.

A similar one (same brand and size) is available in Argos for £400 so this is a decent price.

Weekend only type deal, so finishes on Sunday night.

Check out the video for the brand, they look nice and easy to use.

Yes and no. You only need to change the water every 6-10 weeks if you are always clean when you get in, and manage your water chemistry carefully. However, you do need to stay on top of managing the water chemistry, so it's not just a "set and forget" experience.

Yeah supposedly the built-in pumps overheat and fail, don’t think their customer service is much to shout about either.

Good advice. This will make one appreciate their local lesiure centre pool even more..

They are shockingly bad. The pump broke in mine after 2 months of very light light use. Contacted them at first they refused to repair it took another 2 months of emails and arguing to finally get them to replace it but they claimed if they found anything they would charge for it. Finally they repaired and returned it and it works but in all honesty the lazy spa we had before was alot better and when that failed under warranty they replaced it without question.

Heating cost is the main "pain". If you want it "always ready" at 39-40C expect £75-100 a month or. More

As long as you keep up with water maintenance ie ph,chlorine levels should be fine fit 2-3 months without changing water.
Pump should be always on filtering though.

It’s not very necessary as long as you turn the pump on every so often and add the right chemicals etc. Left for over a week, it will start going green.

Save a fortune and buy a large bath . That way you can sit indoors in the warmth. No problem with expensive chemicals only thing needed is bubble bath and when finished you can just pull the plug . Nobody’s going to want to see a scantily clad fatty wobbling on their patio .

Cleverspa is horrendous avoid at all costs, heating element broke inside the pump within a month so replaced myself with a new element and it works a charm now. Cleverspa customer service is beyond terrible and that's why I decided to do the fix myself. (edited)

Yes…..I’ve just had a horrendous experience after buying one in lockdown. It developed a fault with the heater the fault was repaired (after a lot of chasing up with Cleverspa whose customer service leaves a lot to be desired) when it was repaired it came back with a leaking issue it never had before….chased them again for months then went back to where I bought it who luckily intervened and refunded me the cash. Awful lot of emails and periods of not being able to use. Based on my experience I would advise to steer clear.

Had my CleverSpa for just over a year. Been on constantly apart from 4 weeks.
A little Expensive to run unless you add extra means of insulation.
No dramas provided you check the chems every day.

If you need to buy a hot tub, keep away from Cleverspa and stick to the likes of layz Spa. I had a cleverspa last year, the filters are rubbish, the pump is noisy and the customer service is rubbsib

Had clever spa for 2 years now, no problems with it at all. Filters are a pain but you can buy adaptors these days. I like the pump is build in as they require less space. The noise is nothing compared to my neibours heat pump outside there house which is alot louder than when I have the bubbles on. Only pain is when they spring a leak, but with a hottop repair kit it's ain't a problem. (edited)

Don't buy from cleverspa no matter what the price. I flagged up a fault on our new one on October 2020 and despite lots and lots of emails and calls I am still waiting for it to be collected for repair - 11 actual months late. 😡

its shallower than a LayZ Vegas, so when you are sat shoulders arent easily under the water. i like the all-in-one design.
The base doesnt seem as thick as the Vegas. Kids dont see it as a swimming pool like the Vegas.
At his price its decent, it is £££ cheaper than LayZ

I had one on for 18 months and worked fine until heating element went. Considered replacing but at £100, decided to get a new one. That lasted 3 days! Took me a month of fighting with Clever and Homebase to get my money back - it was a nightmare.
Now got a lazy spa - quieter, uses less electric and stays warmer longer.
I would recommend one with a timer. Mine is always on at night and for 2 hours in the afternoon, reduced the electric consumption in half and is always ready.
Once you get the water ph right, after a few SATS, I then use a float which I put a new tablet in every 2-3 days and that takes care of the chemicals. Good luck

Clean?… I work in a pig farm so often covered in a bit of squealer sh*t, was hoping to use this as a fancy out door bath , guessing this won’t work long term then?

What's the customer service like? Can you call them? I bought a Wave spa and it was a nightmare.

Bought my Intex spa 4 years ago , spares readily available , replaced the tub part last year during lockdown for £180 to cure a persistent air leak ( when new hot tubs were stupid money) and fixed the pump with a £15 repair kit from e bay. I change the water monthly ,by letting it drain out and then hose out leaving it in situ. Manhandling the tub or moving it is when you scuff it and get pinhole leaks. Will take it down October and if it survives the winter as it should will replace the lid next year.
