An automatic watch is powered by the energy of the person who wears it. Wrist movement enables the mechanism to run. The Powermatic 80 movement boasts 80 hours of power reserve, which is enough to continue telling time accurately even if the watch is not worn for three days. It is an innovative movement that outperforms the competition, whose movements general provide 1.5 days of power reserve. The PRX, as part of Tissot's T-Classic collection, measurs at 40mm with a strong and sturdy stainless steel build. The dark blue dial presents stick indexes, three hands and a practical date window towards the 3-o-clock mark. Sapphire crystal protects the case with anti-reflective coating, and provides a see-through caseback. A matching stainless steel bracelet completes the timepiece, with a butterfly clasp with push-buttons.

FEATURES

80 hour power reserve & automatic movement

Sleek & smooth design, 70's feel

Built in date display & scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with antireflective coating

Weighs 138 grams & adjustable stainless steel strap

Official 2 Year Tissot Guarantee

Also in black and silver for the same price:

Very tempting but not sure if it's going to be too big on a wrist just undert 7 inches.

Surprised a company like Tissot went so blatantly into 'tribute' territory. A poor man's Audemars Piguet. A good watch to show off if the Royal Oak didn't exist, but it does. So it would be a no from me. Not that anybody asked, I know

Lol there is no comparison between this and the Audemars.
This watch is achievable for most the Audemars realistically very few.
This is agreat starter Swiss automatic for the money, off the top of my head there’s not one better.

This is an insane deal! I’ve been waiting to buy this exact watch - I managed to get the price matched in my local Ernest Jones! Thanks OP.

Anyone know of any good websites/places to sell watches? I have the blue tissot prx powermatic 80 and it's a lovely watch but slightly too big for my wrists and I think it's time to sell it and maybe hold out for a smaller automatic version if it's ever released.

Just thought I'd ask about any specialist websites that may be better for selling watches like this, as opposed to somewhere like ebay, if anyone has any advice?

    Thanks.

There are a few websites out there such as Chrono24, Watchfinder and Chronext. I dont know what their comission rate is so I would investigate that before committing to one.

I’ve had mine for a few months and love it. Would have loved even more at this price!

I've had some very cheap watches and some not so. This is easily my everyday watch. 47564154-5g8WP.jpg (edited)

I bought this from Tic about a month ago, absolutely beautiful watch! It’s actually my fave and gets the most time on wrist!

If they had the Green waffle dial I'd be struggling to turn this down

    Great looking watch 👌

Nice, from the pics it even looks like it might even be the correct size for a watch (36-38mm)

Good price for this, hard pressed to find better at this price IMO. Largely subjective of course but I like the design so I'm biased

Why don't these last anywhere near as as they used to? I've got a Tissot which I had for my birthday 22 years ago and that has some kind of capacitor in, which gets charged by the movements. This gives it 100 days reserve.

My slight issue is now the capacitor is failing, it only lasts a few days now, which has stopped me wearing it at all as I don't wear it for work so have to set the time every time I come to wear it. I imagine thus watch in this post would have that issue too?

Any reason they don't still use the 100 day system?
    maranthony's avatar
I’ve ordered one and looked up what this powermatic 80 was all about and it seems like it’s more to do with the spring that powers the movement than a capacitor. So I don’t think this is the same thing but guys more into their watches here could possibly chime in and add?

Be careful of this company they show as in stock when there not.
Ordered the quartz 35mm version of this watch couple of weeks ago and they emailed me saying its been oversold will be 12 - 14 WORKING days before it's back in stock. Even now shows 5+ in stock
  22. kahool's avatar
seconded, I purchased this exact model a few weeks back for £430, and it's yet to arrive. They emailed straight away stating that stock has run out, and delivery would be 3 weeks or so.

It's jarring to see it listed cheaper, and "in stock - dispatched in 24 hours" on their website!
  23. rich_'s avatar
Says 5-14 days delivery in the images but delivery on Tuesday in the description.

I tried this on a while back and it’s lovely but just a bit too big. However I’d go for the quartz 35mm using the same code - it’s an absolute steal

Very good price for a watch that is very highly regarded in the trade and by watch collectors.
  26. FatYeti's avatar
I ordered the blue quartz and got the same message the next day.

I got WatchShop to price match and ordered through them instead - being delivered Thursday
  27. zuggy's avatar
I’d be all over this if the hour and minute hands weren’t so fat. But would definitely get someone to price match, rather than use the seemingly increasing number of no-stock cowboys. (edited)

Ernest Jones price matched the blue with leather strap that I purchased at the weekend.. No issues
