Lebara 1p for 6 months but auto renew says £6.90

Hi, Got the Lebara 1p special for 6 months (Monthly plan £6.90 MSE) in August, but the auto renew says £6.90. Will it actually charge 1p?

I got same message but when it took the money out, it took out out 1p. You should be OK op unless money has already been taken

If you log in on the website, not the app it should look like this

We’ve three sims in our house on Lebara deals. The notifications always show the higher price (price after introductory offer ends) but all three are charged at the lower rate

There was a bit of confusion on the 1p Lebara thread - if you have the 1p deal I'd say don't tinker with your settings.

Some members were de-linking SIMs (thinking it would remove a family member from their bank account and the 1p charge would remain) or turning off Auto-Renew and not realising that it changed the payment taken.

Here's what mine says (activated my SIM at the end of August, though Lebara took the initial 1p payment straight away):

i see this on my account online but on the app that i had downloaded to my phone, it doesn't have a plan. are you seeing your auto renew plan on the app?

I bought this as I wanted to try Vodafone signal and virtually no reception anywhere in my area, but for 1p it was worth a try

Argh mine doesn't have that red text

Gonna have to get in touch with them. This is what I dread about these deals (edited)

If they refuse to fix it I'd do a chargeback in that situation.

I ordered the sim but have yet to activate it. Can’t remember whether I had to give bank details etc just to get the SIM.. Can anyone remember? I’ve not created an account yet either.

If you purchased the 1p (or any deal) then you must have given payment details in order to pay the initial 1p also in doing so you'll have also set up an account just by purchasing the deal, it'll have required an email address and password etc. The sim automatically becomes active when you stick it in a phone.

I had so many issues with this. Every month it would charge the full price not the offer and every time I'd have to go on to chat wait ages, and get a refund. Almost made me leave but I got a decent amount of data on a low price that doesn't change through mse or some where similar so no longer have to worry.

Yeah - I guess I too am going to have to have a chat with them - they did tell me I would be automatically refunded as I took the £1.35 deal and I am still being charged £1.35 even though I was told I would only be charged 1p. I know £1.35 isn;t going to break the back, but's it's the pricipal of the thing...

I have the Lycra sim - that was also on sale for 1p for 6 months - it was a faff to get it working but its going ok. I have two sims so its my second sim for dead spots where I work...its only slightly better though.

I have noticed though - I now receive a lot of spam calls trying to sell me insurance - I think the number been sold to loads of groups....I guess to pay for selling the sim so cheap.
