Anyone had any luck redeeming the voucher? I know what a palava these kind of vouchers have been to redeem in the past

I had to give up at the till - why do these freebies make redeeming so complicated?

They're only 29p at Farmfoods at the moment, I bought 10 of them!

Doesn't warn you till the last minute not to use self scan once you've scanned your shopping. . Didn't bother in the end as not waiting twice.
    s61sam's avatar
Yep, the shop assistant ended up just manually taking a pound off the amount because it wouldn’t scan properly.

That's probably what will happen if you eat a Katsu Curry Pot Noodle.

The first time I saw these Zappit vouchers was for the free Lucozade Zero Losers promotion. It was 8 per phone number and I rinsed that promotion, with a few phone numbers

    What I learnt:

ASDA: These vouchers won't work, checkout staff tried scanning it, no joy, told me to use self checkout, no joy. I don't even bother trying anymore.

TESCO: Won't work at checkout, will work on self checkout but needs to be authorised. Just tell them how much the coupon is worth (the price of the product) and they'll put it through. NOTE: A lot of Tesco stores have recently had new self checkouts installed with updated software. These vouchers won't work on those, a member of staff actually told me to use an old one.

MORRISONS: Will work at checkout, you just need to find a member of staff who can actually bothered to try scanning it a few times. Again, tell them what the voucher is for and how much to take off. I usually say 'It's for a free xxxx, so you need to take off (price of product).

Others may have had different experiences.

The Katsu and the Green Thai are both 29p in most Farmfoods stores. Three out of four in Glasgow I've visited are 29p.. the other store was 59p.

Either my taste buds have changed or they've done something nasty to Pot Noodles. I used to enjoy them when younger but they now taste rank to me. I much rather use a packet of decent ramen noodles like Ko-Lee or similar.

It was when Golden Wonder sold them to Unilever there was a quality drop then they changed the recipe in the mid 00's.

I go to an Asian store when I am in the city and stock up, I can get amazing ramen for similar prices to Pot Noodle

Tried to use it today barcode wouldn't scan and the cashier had no idea how to put the coupon code in a complete waste of time but I did check on the email address and it shows coupon has been redeemed free £1.00 for Morrisons

Am I being daft not wanting to give my mobile number for a pot noodle?
    bonecrusher9000's avatar
That’s what work phones are for

    So here's the recipe:

    - Cardboard (Shredded)
    - Salt
    - Tiny dot of cooking oil

Sounds like more trouble than it's worth

Unilever should be ashamed of persisting with these atrocious 'digital' coupons that achieve nothing but chaos and fuming queues as baffled staff and managers try repeatedly to process them. When some eventually scan, the transaction then often automatically voids itself.

They don't even achieve the aim of preventing abuse of promotions since they're too dumb to design out repeat applications.

Time to get embarrassed at Morrison's now. Already done at TESCO and ASDA. I hate these coupons but still try anyway.

voucher wouldn't work sadly, funny how the zapit Starbucks voucher was fine, partnership with a poor implementation of freebies that are hit and miss
  23. hotdealseeker's avatar
    Voucher doesn't accept at checkout.
  24. Rocknroiia's avatar
Voucher does not work on the till, scan or with the number being read to cashier.
