Thought these were smart benefits included at first, but just the standard free trial month benefit

So tempting, but I have to wait 6 months more to get off my 02 contract with slow 5g and 4g.

Go to Live chat, ask to Upgrade to a 30 days contract. It's £20 for 1 month. Next day ask for PAC code and switch to EE. I just did this earlier this week, left a 8 months contract with o2 after upgrading to a 30 days contract. It will cost around £18 early exit fee instead of the 6 months value (edited)

Best buy a PAYG SIM for a £1 at the shops and try them out.

Do you have to be a new EE customer for this deal?
Also, I get a choice of smart benefits but this isn't part of the package ?

I'm struggling to get the deal sorted. I'm an existing custumer for both BT BB and EE mobile contracts. Firstly, I getting asked if I'm a BT customer, and secondly after I've logged in with my EE id whrn requested, the offer is no longer there. Scratching my head, as it's a perfect deal for my other half (she's 2nd line on our EE login) :/ (edited)
    grant0r's avatar
You can phone them, but I've been on to EE, then BT and EE. Issue seems to be on the EE side they don't have the BT offers, and on the BT side they can't flip an EE contract... option may be to transfer out to a PAYG sim and then back in... Good old company mergers when the left hand doesn't talk to the right!

1p mobile use the EE network and have some cost effective pricing plans

24 month sim only contracts are disgusting.
    Jeimu3u's avatar
Totally agree. I used to balk at 12 months… I genuinely believe people should boycott these deals especially when they are subject to CPI increases mid term
  10. Peter221's avatar
I was thinking of posting this but a 24 month contract is just too long
  11. scoundr3l's avatar
I firmly believe there will be much better deals during Black Friday and in the new year. They are gonna have to. I even held off buying the new iPhone this year which is practically a miracle only because there has to be better options coming up due to the economic fubar we currently sit in.

Is this available for existing bt mobile customers. Got pac code from bt mobile but wondered if I can use it here?
    LazyDonkey's avatar
    BT own EE.
  14. flamethrower's avatar
wow ! didn't know the existence of 24 month SIMO contracts these days.
  15. greycounciller's avatar
    Anyone have anymore codes?
  16. NoliCedere's avatar
I'm sorry for a dense question but... I'm not with either BT or EE and I'm not a student.
How can I get a decent price on a sim only contract with lots of data with EE/BT?
    Any guidance will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Opularity's avatar
It lets you order even if you are not a customer of BT. Just go through the link, select you are a customer, then the link for EE will show up. Select your contract and checkout on EE
  17. AndyRoyd's avatar
50GB @ £13.50/m on silly long contract (and subject to annual CPI increases?) seems too close to be worthwhile to unlimited EE everything at £15/m 30day no contract no credit check via RWG, although may only be 4G (not checked) and must like cricket, and EE unlimited data is limited to 500GB/m
    Lawi's avatar
I can’t see this on RWG’s website, do you have a link? Much prefer a 30 day rolling. Thanks
  18. loving-taurian's avatar
Just to update you guys this is the second time in the last three months. I’ve tried this trick and unfortunately it doesn’t work you place an order online and then they ask you to ring back and what they say is the reason it has been refused is because you can’t use two codes at the same time, they will only give you one discount. Tried and tested yesterday.
    greycounciller's avatar
What do you mean 2 codes?
  19. grant0r's avatar
Requested my PAC code from EE, got a phone call within 10 minutes and was offered 12m SIMO 125GB EU Roaming for 17.50 - for me its a good deal and saves faffing around with sims different providers etc. The money I save from the contract I was on and would've been charged an extra month more than makes up the difference so its a thumbs up from me...
    greycounciller's avatar
Is that the "All Rounder" or "Essential" package?
  20. boro87's avatar
Had a call today. They won’t honour it for me with a discount code as it is already as discounted rate.
    Moneyboi's avatar
Honoured mine today, they called and said there was a mistake but they were able to rectify by changing the code from student to something else
  21. thedvdmonster's avatar
I can’t see where you even apply a discount code.

does this make you sign up to another 24m BT BB contract?

Will this work with blue light discount?
    welshpilot's avatar
Go through Uswitch, 25Gb is £15. Reduces to £13.50 in basket and then with BLC, £10.80.
  27. nicodenham's avatar
I don’t have bt internet (doesn’t work in my area) but if I click the option yes to having it it still takes me to the deal. Do I NEED to have bt internet to complete the sale?
  28. juggy33's avatar
Just to let people know there are Deals for Handset Contracts as well if a BT CUSTOMER which takes 10% off plus you can use STUDENT BEANS/BLC discount as well.
  29. Dean_Roberts1996's avatar
My contract just ended and im with ee I would like to stay with them if anyone can send me a code I’ll greatly appreciate it

Is this for the ultimate data speed or the upto 100mbs speed limit??

EE have 2 it seems when going via there site
    grant0r's avatar
    essential plan, so its 100Mbps
  31. Raginghero's avatar
I'm probably being daft but where do you add the student code? Cant seem to see an option for it

Like others have said, there doesnt appear to be any benefits included with this.

    f3rgy15's avatar
My current SIMO deal of unlimited mins text 205GB + BT sport £22 due to end next month I’m switching as for 1 smart benefit it’s£30+

Are the student codes actually tested and confirmed as working? Officially they were never actually valid on already discounted tariffs like these.
    Sponge's avatar
When I use my Perks @ Work code it removes the original 10% discount.
  35. max99's avatar
I'm currently on EE sim only plan, that's out of contract... if I wanted this is there a way I'd be able to keep my number? i.e would I need to port the number to another network then port it back ?
    nothingbutadam's avatar
might be wrong on this, but yes i think you need to pac out and then back in. think for them to be able to automatically move it over for you it has to be a deal they can move you to themselves
  36. Darren_Eyers's avatar
Shame have to be with bt for it
    greycounciller's avatar
I'm currently out of contract on my EE contract. When looking for upgrades through the MyEE app, none of them come with "Prime Video" as a Smart Benefit.
Anyone knows a way to get it?

  39. Sean_Mitford's avatar
Im currently being charged £15pm on BT, recon i can switch to EE 10gb for £9pm,? Or would that incur exit fee even though bt own ee?
    nothingbutadam's avatar
if you are on a contract you would have exit fees unless you are very close to the end of it. i suspect jumping from BT to EE would be seen as a move to a different network even though its the same underneath
  40. BargainHunta96's avatar
Ain't their 5G Essential Plans capped at 100mbps? If so then it's useless. Now I know 100mbps is more than enough but I'm against providers feeling the need to cap data speeds. There's just no need for it. Also I'd want the maximum speeds available and the best of the best in terms of available speeds. (edited)
