I've used this... And everything else ...on the black mould round the top of our bath and it didn't shift it all

If you have black mould on the silicone then you may need the stronger gel stuff rather than a bleach spray. Bleach just removes lighter surface mould whereas it’s usually ingrained into the white silicone

99p in Asda & 10% off with my blue light card which Tesco & others don't give.

Great, that's good of Asda! Posted this as some might find it useful with prime/click and collect

Make sure you vent the room when using this. Really strong. Safety 1st

Hot deal ? 95p in Wilko, 99p in Asda and at the dizzy price of £1 in a host of other stores. (edited)

Yeah, 99p every time in Asda. I love it! Prevents mould also, I don't have any . I spray it on my white kitchen sink, toilets, shower doors inside ofcourse & leave! No mould

Great stuff, will remove mould unless fully ingrained (sometimes won't remove from silicone) removes about 95% of mould from surfaces and works brilliantly on white vertical blinds

    That's odd but great

Be careful with this. Although it doesn't say it contains bleach, it does bleach stain fabrics and the nozzle isn't all that accurate. Works great on mould though, like magic
    hot1805's avatar
I used it on fabric and it didn’t bleach. Maybe they’ve changed the formula?

I purchased aome of this last time it was this price. It was ok, but seems alot more watery and thin than the cillit bang stuff so it tends to run off the walls, and not stick, so it doesnt have as long to work on the surface without multiple applications

    Ordered, thanks for posting

This stuff is as good as cilit bang anti mould.. Not frothy, but does the job. Gets rid of black mould. Same price in savers

    Astonishing price

Didn't work for me after reading and following instructions on how to use it.
  16. ade457's avatar
Worked for me, after trying everything else including soaking in bleach but this stuff finally removed it .it smells like chlorine so maybe that’s what is needed on mould (edited)

I used to use in corner of my shower room ceiling that gets mould patch, worked well but now all paint is peeling off
  18. kingcrimson's avatar
Mould is caused by condensation, wipe down surfaces after a shower and ventilate the bathroom and there would be no need for these chemicals..
  19. Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
I know it's a few quid more expensive but I prefer the HG product...doesn't smell as bleachy and despite this, surprisingly more effective.

I wonder what harm these chemicals are doing to the environment and more specifically our nervous systems, in years to come these poisons will be labelled as cigarettes are now..

Ah, the monthly Astonish mould spray post

Turns black socks pink on the soles when walked on but strangely enough used this on the seats of a car that had a water leak which left black mould spots on and it removed the marks without bleaching them!!
    modernmum33's avatar
I've noticed that too! Bleaches some clothes & not others. Have used it as a stain remover for some clothes & was fab, usually white..others ruined lol.

HUKD'ers love a good mould spray bargain. Just like wheelie bin numbers and free Udemy courses.
  25. taraweeh's avatar
This stuff really does the job! Be careful though, bleaches clothing straight away…

Can i use this to kill the algae that is growing on the fence?
    madjohn's avatar
Possibly a good idea but the product description doesn't say safe for wood. Plus it may damage nearby plants..?
I've heard that a 50/50 distilled vinegar/water mixture works on mold-affected fences < plan to try it out this week
(if the weather stays dry lol)
  27. rossmcgowan123's avatar
    Does this work on grout?
    modernmum33's avatar
    Yes, white grout, not coloured.
