Isn't energy rating G pretty standard for TVs nowadays? I'm on the fence with this. I would prefer an LED TV to an LCD but for this price I am tempted. The Ring would make a good Xmas present for my Mum too.

Nearly all tv and monitor screens are LCD (liquid crystal display) panels (tn, va or ips). It's the actual back lights or side lights that illuminate the LCD screen from behind that are LED (light emitting diodes). You can't get an LED screen*. You might be confusing it with an OLED (organic light emitting dioxide) screen, that is self illuminating without the need for separate led back lights.

    Edit.
    * I was thinking about this and just wanted to add, before someone else mentioned it. There are actually LED screens. But there the sort of screens you see at stadiums or for advertising in places like London. There made of modules that clip together to make truly huge displays. (edited)

I had this delivered today. I would love to be able to tell you the quality, however the screen is smashed to bits.

Got a 50inch with ring doorbell. Got delivered earlier than I expected. Most obvious thing it is first and foremost a fire TV so when you turn it on it appears to default to Amazon fire stick mode. Has a very similar remote to an Amazon fire stick but with shortcuts for Amazon prime Freeview plus Disney plus and Netflix. Sound quality is good from Onkyo speakers. Has a guide button to pull up the terrestrial channels. So far I can't seem to find any settings to adjust picture or sound quality on TV.

I was struggling with this too at first. Keep your finger on the home button then an additional menu will show up with picture and sound settings on there.

Mines now been delayed. That doesn't sound too good considering it was with hermes since Friday. Anyone else had issues with delayed delivery?

I ordered on the 23rd and my item has been 'preparing for dispatch' since then. Amazon have no idea when it will be in stock.
