Will the clock/alarm/radio work without internet connection? Not bothered about Google assistant

The WiFi can be iffy in my place sometimes, but if the clock loses connection, the clock still shows the correct time and instead of playing the radio, it plays an alarm. (edited)

We had ours for a few days and sent it back. The overall functionality just wasn't up to it.
Considering the Echo Show 5 will be down to at least £35 during Black Friday, it's highly recommend one over this Lenovo device.

If you want to use it for music there's no point getting Echo Show especially after recent "upgrade" of amazon prime music with 100mln random crappy songs being played. Lenovo + YouTube beats it every single time.

I personally cannot believe that this product would be designed in such a way that an internet outage means no alarms.
We don't live in perfect environments, internet connections go down, a WiFi AP can have a fit - there are any number of reasons why you could lose connection.
This device should not require an internet connection for a pre-set alarm to be triggered.

Theoretically it should still ring alarms if offline... But I've also had an unreliable experience, so I suspect it depends on how long the internet was down for or something.

It's great for everything aside from the Google aspect. The mic doesn't pick up your voice very well

If the screen was like 8 inches then I could look on it to be used to display family pictures. Shame it's only 4

If a picture display with a nice speaker is what you are looking for then get the Facebook portal. It is a 10 inch screen and under £40

    Ordered
    Cancelled
    Feckers
    Again

EDIT: Was passing the store today (Romford) They have a cupboard full of these and at least one of the £14.99 jobbies.
Ordering system is a joke, but TBH the store aint much better when you try to actually buy something.
I think they've just become very complacent as they're the only major store where you can go and pick up stuff like this, washing machines, ovens, fridges etc etc. (edited)

Tried twice to buy, used different cards etc both cancelled about ten minutes later. Utterly useless ordering system with no reason for cancellation.
