I purchased this a few week ago albeit for £50 more and have been thoroughly enjoying my experience.

+ Ordering process was quick and easy
+ Delivery was DHL next day
+ Windows 11 setup was easy, no bugs so far and printer was setup easily (first time W11 user and 4 year old Cannon printer)
+ WIFI 6 is OMG amazing, getting for 500+MB everywhere, better than any of our phones and tablet
+ Cinebech single core score was 1428 and multi core was 8994
+ Build quality is amongst some of the best I experienced, having visited my local Curry's and played about with a few much more expensive laptops
+ 4k video playback was perfectly smooth, absolutely no issues
+ Battery lasted exactly the stated time of ~8 hours with moderate use
+ The Full HD screen is really good, ultra thin bezels and sharp (I also use an extrnal 1080p monitor)
    - Only issue I had was in Davinci Resolve, where playback stuttered a lot in the timeline (exports were perfectly fine). I tried a lot of different things but I guess if your video editing then a dedicated graphics card might perform better. Exporting a 3GB, 6 minute 4k video, took 11 minutes without any optimisations. No idea how that would compare to other laptops but it's perfectly fine for my use.

Unless your a heavy gamer, or video editing complex 4k videos, I cant see why you'd need anything more powerful.

I would have thought this laptop is much more powerful than most people need. (edited)

Would you say the laptop would be fine for just photo editing, in your opinion?

1440p or 1600p 16:9 would be ideal but for under £500 with 16gb ram and the H variant processor, I think this is a cracking deal. 1080p on a laptop screen isn’t the end of the world. Especially at this price point

Thanks OP, fantastic deal. I bought this one for my dad but he's away for the week so I've had time to play around with it. Screen resolution is fine for a screen this size, text is clear, gets bright enough to use in a bright room and the matte screen keeps reflections down. Construction is solid metal, similar to laptops that cost 3-4 times as much. Keyboard is nice with no flex whatsoever. Touchpad is large and works well. Battery life has been impressive, easily lasts a full work day. Negative points are that it's a bit heavy, so not one to lug around and the speakers are not great but I had no problem linking it up with my bluetooth speakers with no input lag. At this price it's a no brainer for moderate users. 48827417-MjLqN.jpg

Seems like a great spec for a general user? - in my case, I'd be buying for an elderly parent for Web, email, office-type usage. The bigger screen is a real plus!

Any actual users here? What's the build quality like etc.?

    Heated OP!

It’s very good - not just for the money but in general. The chassis is all metal so it’s durable and feels like it’s built to last. Specs are more than sufficient for the cost - it may even be overkill though for these basic tasks.

Just arrived this morning. Came rattling around in the biggest box I've ever seen for a laptop and half open due to poor taping.

Laptop box looks undamaged so hopefully the bit of bubble wrap helped it.🤞

Can someone give a more in-depth comparison and verdict of this one and the ASUS VIVOBOOK 15 OLED please as my final decision is between these two. Thank you

Visual impact of screen - ASUS (although HONOR has higher refresh rate and is slightly larger)
    Performance - TIE
    Ports - HONOR (2 USB 3.2 Type A + 2 USB 3.2 Type C)
    Battery - ASUS
    Build quality - HONOR
Upgradability - ASUS (although need to upgrade is unlikely for most users)
    Warranty - TIE

Overall: Close but I would go with the HONOR

I asked them this recently. Just 1 year. I asked if I could pay them more money for extended warranty. They declined.

In total they have the following ports:

    2×USB-C 3.2
    2×USB-A 3.2
    HDMI 2.0
3.5 mm headset and microphone 2-in-1 jack (edited)

Seems like a great deal. 16GB RAM under £500 (albeit fixed). A good processor and good build quality. 1080P Full HD is definitely good enough. (edited)

Did you enter the code ABLC10 in the voucher code section of the checkout?

I had to start again as it didn't seem to recognise that the code was applied when I reached the payment page.

Order process was a little hit and miss on the Honor website, quick order of events:

    Order confirmation
    Payment confirmation
    Invoice sent
    Order not fulfilled
Wanted me to pay full amount again
    Order cancelled by Honor
    Dispatched
    Arriving tomorrow!

Couple of calls to Honor customer service (not great) and my bank but glad I've ordered as the spec for this price is great.

Cheers for posting OP, voted hot.

    Just some feedback.
After setting it up, I've decided to return it back.

A few issues that may not be a problem for others:

Considering the size of the laptop, the keyboard is tiny with the left shift key is too small. The keyboard itself is smaller than my 14inch laptop.
I can see those speaker grills filling with dust and stuff. I don't think I could ever get used to them in that position either.
Also strangely my wireless speakers kept stopping whilst the laptop was connected to the wi-fi.
So that was the last straw for me.

Even though it's a very sturdy built laptop it's not for me for the price. Hopefully something else will come up over black Friday (edited)

I’m after a laptop for work with a budget of max £500. I use outlook email, excel, adobe pdf viewer and Microsoft Teams video meetings 100% of the time and from time to time use autocad and design review for working on drawings . Was comparing to a HP 14s fq1005na at same price. It was Ryzen 7 with 8gb but some said the screen was poor quality. Never heard of Honor before. Would you recommend?
    bz3bees's avatar
    bz3bees
Well, I have two Honor. And this is going to be my 3rd one. The only annoying bit is the camera. My first one was at the top. My second one was on the keyboard hidden and weird angle when you use it. And thank god for this one they put it back on top of the screen! I would highly recommend. I don't do any video editing. Only audio editing.

Question, just had to return the Asus Oled laptop, as only supported one external screen, will this support one via HDMI and one via USB-C? Specs says yes, but don't want the grief of returning another laptop! (edited)

Mulled over this for a while but opted for the Magicbook 15. If you can live with the 8gb Ram and less ports then you can get that for £360 (and potential 8% Quidco / Topcashback for any of these)
