One year old in computer tech, diffreence can be like Horse&Cart v a Lamborginis as tech moves so fast!

It's a one gen behind. Not quite really really old.

Second hand, not refurbished

16gb for £1200, i have just been sick in my mouth and then i saw 6700 i7 tech which my gradnad used back in 1987and then was sick all over the floor.

Only 768p, 4GB ram, Dual core, 256GB SSD... Definitely not worth £400. You could probably double all the above specs in a machine for £200 more or so.

Cold! Even android phones have more ram, a better CPU and still cost less.

This looks great but I'm after something with a 14" screen minimum. Any thoughts on this? Happy to pay up to £300. Will only be used for web browsing and a bit of MS office. No gaming.

This come in a dell box?

Meh, I've been using OSX for over 10 years and will gladly switch to Windows 10 once my current mac dies.

Been trying to find the full specs. Does anyone know if this has a back lit keyboard? Also managed to find a site which said the battery life was 4.4 hours, seems very low.

It's ok, for rest of the spec in this laptop. It's for medium setting gaming

No SSD on this one so I'd say avoid. Having moved from a laptop with just a single, big HDD to one with a small (128GB) SSD & a big HDD, I now couldn't go back. Boot ups are now instant as opposed to a slow crawl.

Is this the same one at cost co? 2 yr warranty too I believe.

8gb is more than optimal for gaming I'm not a developer but I hear that Dev rigs of Ps4, Xbox etc always have more ram for developing purposes.

409 less cost of RAM and SSD = £60 saving on new.

Who is selling it new for £360? Cheapest I could find was at £409

majorwedgy84 This appears to have an m2 slot so having a large hd is probably a good thing. Add a cheap m2 ssd and you are flying

3 things let this down 1 Hard drive speed 5400RPM 2 Resolution 1600 x 900 pixels 3 And by ossociation - no SSD

Well you can play Fortnite, etc. on a Ryzen 3 for starters, I’d say that’s a fairly big bonus for many. There’s nothing wrong with Core i3 8th gen but if you’re buying it for office work and browsing then you might as well get something with an SSD and not have to fit one later - wouldn’t bother me but many people I know wouldn’t dream of opening a laptop and fitting their own parts.

I'd never use one of those. Horrible keyboards. At least this futijtsu has a uk enter key.

Both are TN. Only the Full Hd version of Fujitsu has an IPS screen. 39.6 cm (15.6-inch),LED backlight,(HD),Anti-glare display,compound,1,366 x 768 pixel,500:1,220 cd/m² 39.6 cm (15.6-inch),LED backlight,(Full HD),Anti-glare IPS display,compound,1,920 x 1,080 pixel,700:1,250 cd/m²

I am thick with this - which one has TN screen ? The Fujitsu or the Lenovo ?

Better colour reproduction on an IPS. It's the same type of display used on phones. Just Google TN vs IPS.

I'd say everyone who has commented on this deal and all members of HUKD have broken the law at some point and as such done something illegal. Therefore to get high and mighty about this deal is hypocritical.

Now that you mention it, yes a lot of components should be cheaper. Ram be 'spensive, though is coming down, Nvidia is clearly taking the piss with GPUs and intel with their CPUs. You also have motherboards up to 500 quid with RGB with "l33t GAMERZ" in the product name and heatsinks with no function. Though as said the both situations aren't really comparable even if it is questionable. Though personally I'd still probably get one for my next build.

Gears of War 4 XBOX ONE / Windows 10 with Gamivo/Playtime! Additional 3% discount with code provided £6.42
Found 13th DecFound 13th Dec
Hello guys, lowest price ever! You will get a cd-key to redeem on Xbox Store (or Windows store). Have fun! Absolutely great game

Gears of War 4 is very buggy on the PC. I bought this recently for around £10. After 2 levels it crashes to desktop. I haven't found a solution for this problem as I don't have time to trouble shoot. On the plus side you get it free for Xbox One too so techincally I can play it on the Xbox One, however with reduced graphics and sub par frame rates.

What's the difference between gamivo and the like of g2a?

Absolutely awesome full answer mate. Thanks

You aren't buying they keys from gamivo...they are like eBay or Amazon. They provide a marketplace for sellers to sell keys. The protection fee is like PayPal and eBay, it covers you if the key is invalid, already used or revoked. If you haven't added customer protection then gamivo won't lift a finger to help if you have problems. That said I've made a few transactions without the fee and had no problems. There is no way I would spend a large amount of money there (>£10). These keys are 'grey'. That often means that someone overseas (China, Singapore, thailand etc) has bought a batch of keys on their local version of cdkeys/steam/psstore which is cheap compared to our regions version, then they sell those keys to us for less than we can buy them for, but more than they paid. I would imagine you would only have a problem if someone is selling stolen keys, but there is a risk the key isn't compatible with your region (but if I see a thread like this where several people have already redeemed the code successfully I'm usually happy to jump in). Sorry that's long winded but helps explain why not selecting protection or the correct country might be a problem in a small number of cases. In this case I bought the key without selecting UK or paying protection (on yesterday's offer I linked above) and I've now successfully installed the game. That's not a guarantee for you - your money, your choice.

Do you have to put your country code as UK and basically add 20% or doesn't it matter? Also any reason to add customer protection?

Just had emails from Tesco cancelling and refunding me due to stock issues :-( Back on the hunt now!

Thanks....Any recommendation on SSD to buy? Is it easy to upgrade/swap? Sorry I dont know much on this subject

Out of stock again

Depends on what you're doing on it I guess. An SSD is far faster than the HDD - this'll speed up everything on the machine, but then it's not as much storage as the HP one. 128GB will probably be enough for general-everyday use - it might become a problem if you want to store lots of video/audio files on the machine rather than streaming (Spotify/Netflix/Amazon/iPlayer etc). Should be more than enough for your photos, and should run like a dream for most things you throw at it - the laptop has got a pretty good processor, with a decent amount of RAM for the price.

I have the original. The scroll wheel can be either freewheel or traditional by pressing it down. There is a button next to the scroll wheel which can be mapped as third button if you wish. V2 seems to work the same based on the info on their website.

Isn’t that the whole point of the MX, freewheel scrolling? You can press the wheel down to enable the old, slow and horrible clicking mode if you wish.

Decent price. was cheaper on bfriday but not by much 39.99 with £5 voucher for first time on the app as well

The 2S has a higher res, which 99% of users would never notice, and can use Flow which is only useful to some users and can be achieved with third party software anyway. Not worth it on any level :)

Ah, so it's quite an obvious spot then? XD

Look at the name of the product lol. The new model is called 2S

It is a weird hybrid between the 2, some parts of it are from the first gen and some from the second. There are some completely custom elements too. But at half the price, not sure you'd get twice the mouse for the 2S by any stretch. Search for it online, I saw a really good comparison on an Amazon review when I bought last year. Got a second last month as some others did. Great mouse!

What's the difference between this one and the MX Master 2S?

DECDEAL4 for the 7450 is actually 30% when used. Just picked one up for £279.

It'll likely be worth putting in an SSD. My Lenovo laptop became a slug, boot times were easily 5 minutes, despite trying everything to make it more acceptable. Installed an SSD and if it takes 30 seconds now, that's possibly a conservative estimate. I'm going to do the same with my desktop. Just waiting on the SSD coming in the post.

Well somebody must have liked them as they are all gone now. Hope it helped. I'm a big fan of HUKD but I think sometimes people forget that all we all want is some good value and bargains. I was watching this item on eBay for £99 for a few weeks debating if I should buy it or not and today it dropped to £79. So i got one. It's got 12 month warranty with a reputable seller so I'm covered. For me, that is a good deal. Agree you can spend a bit more and get better spec refurbs etc. Over and out - I'll expire

Sorry, I keep hitting the "Z" instead of the "X" on this keyboard; usually I notice, but had a customer come in and missed it before posting. Point is, this is little more than a one trick pony that isnt going to cope at all well in the long term, whereas something like the X220 isnt that expensive and has the cpu power and upgrade potential to keep going for the next 10 years. i had a "cheap n cheerful for browsing" Asus machine, and it was slow from day one, and only got slower; this weighs 0.4KG more and is about 40 times as powerful.

This may help:

I doubt it. There is no such product. If you meant an X220 - its a completely different product. The point about these is the size and weight. There isn't very much available with this footprint at any price with beefy specs. You don't need them if its primary purpose is a bit of browsing. I'm a fan of refurb Thinkpads and had an earlier variant with similar characteristics. Great machine but no replacement for my venerable Samsung Chromebook. When that croaks I may replace it with something like this or the HP Stream running Linux Mint XFCE.

Should be ok for an eleven year old in school!? Or think I should just pay more now rather than buying this?

Broken=no longer working, therefore cracked =/= broken. Unless you can find a better machine for less, i dont really see why you're criticising this? Personally, i'd spend a bit more and get one in better nick, and stick in a cheap SSD, BUT if someones not that fussy about the odd crack in the plastic then it is (was) a great deal.
