Microsoft and LinkedIn have announced they will be providing free access to 350 courses and six new Career Essentials professional Certificates for six of the most in-demand jobs in the digital economy. This includes

  • Administrative Professional
  • Project Manager
  • Business Analyst
  • Systems Administrator
  • Software Developer
  • Data Analyst

The new courses and certificates will be offered in seven languages, English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese. All courses are available on LinkedIn at opportunity.linkedin.com. In addition, Microsoft-developed courses are also available on Microsoft Community Training (MCT) and in downloadable format for use on other Learning Management Systems.

    no purchase necessary as far as i can see

    says unlocked courses are available through 2025, so should be fine to start whenever you have the time

    That’s a negative way of looking at it, monetising education. Look at it positively, you’ve invested significantly in your education, brand and career by taking these certifications.
    Sell yourself to prospective employees by putting these certs on your LinkedIn profile and CV. Qualifications can never ever be a bad thing.

    Or, if it’s purely about money, just get the free MS exam vouchers for certs off Virtual training and Ignite/Build, etc.
