    We use one of these I got for £6.25 from aliexpress. You need one that specifically supports the switch as it has its own alternative display mode. I have an old one from before the switch was out and that doesn't work.

    This works fine but you need a 45w or above charger. I use my lenovo laptops 45w or 65w chargers for it. The switch docked needs 39w (15v/2.6A) for it to do video out so a 45w pd charger doing 15v 3a will do it. This is a good site with a huge amount of info.

    I pair it with a 65W laptop charger and it works just fine.

    I've got something similar that does hdmi to VGA for a fiver.
    I didn't expect it to work as it was just a black plastic box with a wire coming out just like the one above, however surprisingly it works perfectly.

    Sometimes the Chinese do get it right and you don't need to spend silly money.

    Plenty available so I guess they work, although I bought a used official one to be sure off ebay for our 2nd room. They don't work on normal USB C power supplies though. Off to argos later to buy the venom power adapter at £15. Best I could find.

    Xrocker are well known for making gaming furniture and accessories. I'm not a gamer though but it appears to be aimed at the younger market. Got my boy an xrocker chair for Christmas and it seems decent.
