That’s why I asked what’s the quality like 8) (annoyed)
I would imagine it's better than TV speakers.
Yeah I agree, how good the deal is depends on if it's any good. This is for my bedroom, and will be used as a speaker to play music from my phone on if it's not much of an improvement on my tv speakers. Should be a cheap upgrade over the poor speakers on my Hisense 65 inch tv though.
No, just don't see how it can be considered a cracking price if it turns out to be poor. From cheap soundbars that I have had, they are find for the likes of the bedroom or conservatory etc but for a main living space? Not for me.
You've had it?

Yes would only do via hdmi. A cheap firestick would be best option if you went this way. Camera based options should definitely be avoided. Best and only way to get ambilight that covers EVERYTHING, is to get an actual Philips ambilight tv.
Every night, your neighbour has a little chuckle to themself. (lol)
For anyone who is interested, you can integrate this into Apple HomeKit via Homebridge. You have to apply for the API key, but I got mine within minutes.
These turn on automatically for me. Every night. At 1am. I've had to unplug them but it's annoying if I forget because they decide to go full strobe mode. 😪
Does this handle media played via the tv itself eg built in apps or off a usb drive? From what I can see it only works on external hdmi sources like sky/BluRay player unless I’ve missed something?

Personally I think it's a good sound but when it comes to the bass the volume does need to be quite high to appreciate it. The bluetooth connection is a bit hit and miss though for me using my Chromebook and Pixel 5 phone
Bought one of these thinking I couldn’t go wrong for £30. The specs seem like this is a bargain, the sound however, is nothing like the specs suggest. No real power and almost no bass. It’s worth about as much as the £27 that’s being asked
Easy mistake to make mate, i made the same mistake and was ready to buy this! The small differences in the model names can be confusing
On LG.com the spec for this says it does have e-ARC. Do you have this model and are confirming yours does not? Wondering if it has been updated if so. Link below to the spec I am on about. Select Specification tab and scroll down to section headed 'Convenience' LG.com specification ** EDIT: I am wrong - rather than delete it maybe useful to note that the model on LGs site is the SP8YA which has eARC
I think i saw this one for around £200 in store, I'm not sure, birmingham store
Nice deal. The Q900T for £399 is still live. Was too wide for me unfortunately!
The grand almighty £189 atmos deal https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/samsung-q70t-wireless-sound-bar-with-true-312-and-dolby-atmos-3717466
I did see that haha, but certified are one few £extra these days rather than £50/60
Bought this one for £4.99 and 1 day delivery last week. It's £6,49 (Prime) now but still cheaper than this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08XZSXSQW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It also has fever quality sound
Could get a certified cable for few quid extra https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cable-Etseinri-Certified-Ultra-48Gbps/dp/B08SLR3HW9/ref=mp_s_a_1_9?dchild=1&keywords=8k+certified+hdmi+cable&qid=1620629794&sprefix=8k+cert&sr=8-9#immersive-view_1620630276575
Welcome to the site @mintyfreshjnr1 great first post! (y)
Buy a house then instead of wasting your money on fancy sound systems, I have just upgraded to one of the £99.00 Sky soundbox's and think it is fantastic.
Except if you decide to change room layout then you re-wire, or for some of us that are renting and moving about yearly or so.
Depends how much you wish to spend. It can be a slippery slope. I didn't want to spend a fortune but I wanted a decent set up. At first, like the majority I looked into soundbars, in fact I even bought one. Soon changed my mind though, returned it and bought a Sony Dn1080 Receiver along with some Focal Sib Evo Atmos 5.1.2 speakers. If I had a bigger house with a bigger living room I'd probably spend a bit more. As for people moaning about the wiring... You wire it once and then it's done.
Yep i had AV setup for years and cabling is a pain. Switched to a soundbar and never looked back.
It's seem more organized there are 4 tabs on the top menu, discover, home, apps the interface is more tv based on your recommendations Will have to get used it but seems more modern and refreshing look, my old xf75 and xg80 tvs just got updated too looks like whole range from 2016 upwards getting the refreshed look, it's good sony updating the older tvs
What's the difference?
Anyone with a older 2019 and 2020 sony tv I just had the update for the new Google TV, Sony updating android tv to Google on the older sonys
From what I saw; the cheaper Sony XH900 is neck-and-neck with OLED but viewing angles are poorer and whites aren't as good as OLED. But it's typically 250 cheaper than OLED.
As usual new model releases, price is always high, wait for few months to go down
Thanks to everyone for posting & persuading this master procrastinator to bite the bullet & buy this. Just delivered, hooked up to optical & wow, amazing. Is it worth doing the USB firmware update or not & how do you find out the firmware you're on. I don't have access to sky. Cheers everyone... Now to find another one at a similar price ;)
i connected mine up and have to say it does feel like sitting in a cinema, great sound (popcorn)

I have a general question and hoping someone can help. I need a 600x400 vesa mount for a 75" tv. I've seen loads of mounts for that vesa size but they all say for Tvs up to 65" or occasionally 70". I'm confused... If the vesa is big enough then shouldn't that be all that matters. They can all easily take the weight of the TV.
If you need to return the item it's a lot more hassle compared to Amazon UK returns. Personally I would want more bigger margin of saving to accommodate for that possible hassle and time.
Just checked my invoice, it was actually £9.99 when I bought it, so now really good price.
Yep, that looks good and better if you have prime. Without that It will be an extra £4.49.
