Got this refurbed on eBay for £220 last week. Very pleased with it for the price.
dolby have got carried away with the chance to licence out the branding for any old device regardless of how many speakers or 3d sound tech it has. They've clearly been raking it in but wont this hurt their brand in the long run?
Not sure, but I think the code expired at midnight. I did a purchase yesterday and was rushed as the voucher was expiring.
what code did you use on ebay and is it still valid?
I think in reality it's not actually 1ms but the 1ms is the lowest of the values measured. The real ms you can see from reading reviews.
1ms and 144mhz is actually classed as slow? I’m not sure about that.
Hot but OOS :(
Little bit slow for competitive games, and flickering screen with nvidia card gsync on if the fps out of range, 48-146. But for this price great monitor
Has 2 HDMI one in and one out (y)
All 9 series. It may effect the newest ones too but I have not seen confirmation of that yet...
Webos. Any external source works fine. Just bear in mind this (according to the richer sounds website) only has one hdmi input.
So these apps no get Dolby Atmos support from Sky Q box or Virgin V6 box as well IE straight to Soundbar or is it just the apps on the Webos system?
Is that the case with all LGs or just the B9 in particular?
Just bought this. My mate bought this for £120 about 9 months ago and said it's great for the price. Especially if you only have a small/medium size living room.
In the description: Aux-in x 1RCA 2 x 1RCA x 1TOS Link x 1Outputs RCA x 1
Does anyone know how this connects to a tv and what cables come with it,I have hdmi and an optical port on the back of my tv
Thank you - Just purchased for my Computer Desk, this code got me free delivery; "ACFREE". :)
According to Linus, it's 5W; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=if9_S_bn2b8&t=403s
Really odd that they do not say how many Watts this is, like most others. Not easy to compare or estimate the vlolume levels this can pump out.
Why is (overclocked) in the title lol? these cards boost until they throttle... this should reach around 1900mhz+ then throttle
It's a shame. They used to be very competitive but rarely seen to be on anything now. Only advantage is that they stock a wide range of stuff like keyboard barebones kits which seem to be hard to get in the UK.
Right to be wary, God forbid you actually have to send it back. Currys customer service is even worse than normal at the moment.
Got one open box available for £448.
Yeah dodgy description though, lot of debate whether they'll send a 2070 or super. You know what currys is like plus faster delivery
I just thought it sounded dire I think I paid £300 and sent it back John Lewis same day it’s not a patch on the beam imo
I have a delivery date confirmed on my order for the yamaha Soundbar now so looks promising
Thanks. Looks like a similar story to the P70W here, overpriced at RRP , but a great deal with £200 off.
A70 REVIEW https://www.whathifi.com/orbitsound/a70/review https://www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/orbitsound-a70-airsound-bar Im reading the reviews while chewing some pinballs :D
Got it. I've had a look around their Amazon store and there's a few other things on sale like the A70 soundbar and DOCK speaker. Anyone know if these ones are any good?
I have exactly this arm. It does appear, bar badging, to be identical to the Ergotron arm, and it is superb. Solid as a rock and very easily, and smoothly, adjustable through a huge range of positions. Somebody mentioned minimum distance from the wall, I just measured and it goes back to about 13cm from the wall.
No worries. Hope it works out for you. (y)
Thanks for this bought one myself seems to be exactly what I was looking for
Amazing that an effective discount of £40 for a very good quality cantilever wall mount is so cold. I guess people really don't like the Ergotron quality.
better spend extra on Apple one.
The cardboard box must have cost close to 73p or more lol
Mine came in a lovely carboard box, each item sealed in a quality antistatic bag, each with paperwork on terms of sale, safety information.... all for £1.58
Mine arrived today too. Couldn’t help but chuckle when the DHL guy was walking up the drive way with the Jiffy bag. They sent me a 2 hour delivery slot this morning too.
Mine arrived today, one DVI to HDMI adaptor and one mini displayport to display port.
DELL20NJ06 will work until the middle of next month.
Sorry buddy, £35 for postage is ridiculous
Oh well, thanks anyway (y)
You can't, didn't spot that, good shout, expired
How do you get free delivery? Is it dependent on your postcode? Says £34.95 postage for me (Leicester) ;(
Does anyone have any recommendations for a 2.1 soundbar less than £100? Thanks
Great deal! Have a Lidl heat!
They have passive bass ports on the sides, but every other retailer still advertises them as 2.0 (inclduing Sharp https://sharpconsumer.eu/audio/ht-sb140-3/)
Ive got one. It's pretty great if you want a upgrade from your TV speakers. But if you looking for some booming bass then this ain't it.
Anyone ever tried one of these? Just looking for a bit more volume than the cheap bedroom TV puts out really. Not too tinny ideally. :)
My original date was about the 18th and then got a further email saying 9th, so you may get it earlier still
Just got an email, delivery on the 18th
Mine was ordered 30/05 and coming 09/06
Same, hopefully they will get more in. I will be giving it till Monday and if it's not dispatched I will cancel the order and start the hunt for another soundbar deal.
Orderered mine on the 31st, still no date.
richer sounds have just put the price up to £1299 and I understand from other posts they aren't getting anymore stock and have 37 left at the time of writing.
Ordered mine . Got £50 back as well .
the burn in risk has been overblown. also the 7 series uses a different panel, the red pixel is larger in the new panels because of the issues discovered. No panel changes on the cx vs c9, plus the cx is marketed at pc gamers so i think the risk is alot smaller now. I wish rtings would redo their burn in test with the latest panel. q90r is a good choice though espeically if you got it at a reasonable price. Hope you like it!
for fear of burning I bought the q90r I did order c9 but looked at my family viewing habits and cancelled it and got q90r
Interesting you say this as I was less concerned about screen burn, but as we keep a TV for a long time (8+ years), I had heard there might be issues with the pixels fading over time.
This is back in stock
Yes, it doesn't drop out the audio any more.
Thanks did this sort the issue out for you
If you click on this link to a previous hotukdeal on this sound bar, the first comment from a666andy has posted a link he uploaded with the latest firmware for this soundbar, this is what I used and it is the official update you would get by emailing customer service and waiting. hotukdeals.com/deals/jbl-bar-studio-20-channel-soundbar-with-bluetooth-at-bt-3431221
Thanks for the postcode. It does not work unfortunately as JL will check that it was ordered to the same postcode as on the price match (which it would not be). And would still factor in a £75 charge to deliver to me in Scotland. Very annoying and likely a deal breaker for me sadly.
Thanks a lot just ordered. Both the emails for the order and voucher came through together. Happy days! (highfive) Also its not on RGB anymore if anyone needs to know, it says 'Discontinued Call us'.
When you order the TV you pay the full price. You should receive the voucher confirmation email at the same time as ordering by joining my John Lewis if not already a member. You then have to claim it between the 14 to 31st July. In the mean time once you've recieved the tv and are happy you then reply to the price match email you received to get refunded the difference between the price match and John Lewis price. Hope this helps
Let me know what they say as in a similar position. It does still says it's included in the full terms.
ive got the pricematch too today, just email them to confirm i will get the £100 e gift, as at point of price match that was on offer, so lets see.
Is this any good? TV is sliver and want a sliver sound bar.
Thanks for quick answer!
Sounds like we have exactly the same set up lol
Very happy with an older model from about 6 years ago. Connection issues with the sub, but still fantastic sound.
I called them up earlier and asked them to honour the price - managed to get it for £199 with a TV
I suppose they noted the interest and reacted accordingly, that or it was a mistake!
May aswell expire as the crafty folk at RS have put it up to £699 now so you're paying £299 with any 4k TV
That's good to know. I've just had the shipping confirmation for tomorrow which is a pleasant surprise, much faster than I thought it would be seeing as I went with the free option.
Just to update got 2 ordered at 199. But RS have since increased price by 100
Very low trickle, but I'm sure you waste more electricity leaving your tele, laundry, micro, fridge, freezer, laptop, monitor, PS4 etc on.... than the trickle charge knocking up your electricity bills :D
And if you don't use them there are very wasteful as the active circuit in them uses a constant trickle of power.
The problem with them is charging technologies are constantly evolving so they become outdated pretty quickly. USB PD has become widely adopted in chargers for a number of years, and yet I don't think there are any sockets available with USB PD ports. For a bedside socket, it is fine as you don't need fast charging, just slow charging overnight. But the main use case for these sockets is in areas where you are constantly plugging things in and out. So I personally have not bothered. If charging specifications ever settle down to one unified solution then perhaps they will make more sense.
Much cheaper than Screwfix, which would have been my first choice. (£10.99 or 2 for £15!!)
Are these USB sockets going to become the unused relics of our age, rather like the VHS players of a previous one? The 13 Amp plug and socket system (BS 1363 of course) was born in the darkest days of WWII and has seen off numerous techy upstarts since. It would be ironic if that is to be the fate of the USB, unloved and unused yet ever present alongside the 13 amp plugs of the kettle and toaster.
Awkward wan k a!
I read a few reviews on this soundbar. Apparently it does a decent job on its own, however, many people will miss not having the bass module which is ~£300 more. On top of that you can add a couple of satellites for an extra £300 on top of it. Needless to say Bose is only compatible with Bose, so if buying this thinking about expansion in the future, bear in mind that this will be quite the investment.
This or samsung Q70R? Any idea!
All you need is an HDMI switch that supports digital optical out. I don't have a wall mounted TV but have 4 different HDMI devices going into 1 HMDI socket on the TV via a remote controlled switch. You have the other devices, and the switch, off wall ( so to speak ) and then just run 1 HDMI and 1 digital optical cable through the conduit. This does, of course, assume your sound bar has digital optical in. If it doesn't then it probably isn't very good ;)
Or get another amp/change tv to one with a One Connect Box as I have one 25mm conduit in the wall see above. But the One Connect Box cable end seems too big to fit down conduit.
