Depends on one of three thing's I guess.

Number 1:
What you're intending on using either of those 2 tablet's for, etc?

Number 2:
How familiar you are already, with FireOS? - as opposed to that of standard Android, etc?

As Fire OS, is NOT an OS that gels well with everyone, basically. :-D

Number 3:
If you're ofay with Fire OS, then cool, the Amazon Fire 8, is probably a better bet, in that, you'd get more for your money + 64GB for your tablet, as opposed to the OP's 32GB.

But, IF the Fire OS flavour is not particularly your thing, or whatever?, then I'd stick with the OP's Samsung tablet instead.

Both the Amazon Fire tablet, and the OP's Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 lite tablet, come with HD screens.

And I believe they both have 2GB RAM also.

I used a S5E for that so I'm hoping yes.
Though it only every had speakerphone so if you wish to take private calls you need headphones.
