Customs duty may be charged on top of the headline price, usually on items costing more than £135 Information
Code WONDA takes it to £339, some £30 less than last time, I imagine this'll be over £400 in the UK, maybe £429 early bird if released

Is Wondamobile trusted? As in, do you have any personal experience with them? I usually buy from giztop. I bought my Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro last month from them.

But giztop is usually pricier than Wondamobile. (edited)

I bought a phone from them recently, and it came in under a week, I know people who have also ordered from them, and it usually comes quicker than that, no customs charges, and if unlucky, they refund them for you if you get in touch, one of the best HK / Chinese sellers in my opinion

    For those interested:

Bought the 256GB version a couple weeks back from Wonda. It arrived in 3 days which is insanely fast. No customs to pay either.

I initially ordered the 128GB and changed my mind - emailed their customer service and asked if it was possible to change my order and please invoice me the extra - no problem they said and sorted it out.

The pad is flawless though I recommed buying a case for it for better usability.

    Yes Google Play is preinstalled.

Tip: Download Google Keyboard from the app store (its a must for me as the preinstalled keyboards are not to my liking).

Yeah, mine arrived in English with play store installed, but the default keyboards are rubbish. I've got mine offline until I have time to properly set it up, but it was easy enough to apkmirror the gboard install file and move it over to the pad via usb.

I'd be interested to hear what people do with their Android tablets apart from general browsing or media consumption. Is anybody doing anything as far as productivity or creativity is cjcnetned with them and what software are they using for this?
    Kako_Ponga's avatar
For me is a PS2, GameCube, Wii, Photoshop for pen, Small TV if you have Stremio or KODI, and more (edited)

I got the 12gb / 256gb from them recently along with the new pen.

I haven't had a chance to factory reset and setup or install anything yet so it's being used offline for note-taking at the moment, but it does that very well It feels just like writing with a regular pen, just with built-in shortcut buttons.

Incredibly fast delivery from Wonda with the standard option; I think it was about 4 days total from ordering to arrival (hong kong > uk)

hit with customs fees at all?

    Thanks once again

I was holding out for the regular Xiaomi pad 6 global version to be released but couldn’t resist at this price. Fast charging, better SoC, fingerprint scanner are all a bonus and I am not sure that the pad 6 pro will actually get a global release.

Is it worthwhile factory resetting and reinstalling GMS for peace of mind? (edited)

Na, I think it's pretty safe, I mean you can if you feel better about it, it's very simple

Where can you get a decent keyboard cover for this?
    Thanks
    Percy247's avatar
Have a look on AliExpress. Genuine keyboard cases from the official mi store are about £50 + tax. I bought a standard case for £17.50. It will be a race to see which arrives first.

"Chinese version" - does this have a direct connection to the CCP? (edited)

Yes. Your party credentials come loaded, and the first 15 orders come with your very own Tiananmen Tank replica* (Tank only, nothing happened, they just took the tanks for a walk)

Is Google store or service available on this device? I had a few Huawei devices totally abandoned.
    thelukeburnett's avatar
Yes, just install the .apk yourself.

I already have the mi pad 5 which is a fantastic tablet, so can't really justify buying this, but........I'm so tempted!
    Crossbow's avatar
Would you consider selling the Mi Pad 5 to buy this? How long ago did you buy it?

What is the Chinese/global ROM like on this? From the comments here it seems that you have to install the Google play store and Google keyboard yourself but other than that are any of you seeing any major differences from a "UK" ROM? I've been after a tablet for ages and this really fits the bill but who knows how long it'll take for a UK version?!
  20. neeoon's avatar
can anyone recommend a screen protector for this?
    Percy247's avatar
Jet tech one on Amazon is Ok for £8.99 otherwise AliExpress is your best bet.
  21. MariusLT89's avatar
description mentioning GPS support ,but I can't find this on specs. anyone owns this and can confirm ?
    Percy247's avatar
I very much doubt it will have GPS as most WiFi only tablets don’t. Not a problem if you are connected to WiFi or tethered to your phone then it will show your location.
  22. Sunny_89's avatar
So just to confirm, for casual use like general gaming/Netflix and cricut use I won't need to download anything when I receive it?
    Percy247's avatar
You will need to install Gboard and Chrome beta to replace the default Chinese apps. Netflix works fine in HD along with the UK banking and shopping apps I use.

The screen is brilliant (coming from a 5th gen iPad) and great for watching TV shows and sports. Not used it for gaming but all the reviews say it is very capable with even the most graphically intensive games. Battery life is decent.

I cant get MS teams to work? I bought the official Xiaomi case but for some reason the smart cover does not work but I can live with these downsides for for such great value.
