Note that this offer of £29 per month, includes a £27 per month discount.

April 2023 CPI + 3.9% increase will be based on the original £56 per month (before discount), so it will be £29 + (£56 x 15% = £8.40)....£37.40!!!
    whitman_the_cat's avatar
Thanks for flagging this point about the increase on the pre-discount amount. The same is true of Vodafone's mobile contracts and can mask the true increase.

Whether or not new sign ups get an April 2023 increase seems unhelpfully up in the air, but the increase on pre-discount is still very relevant for all for April 2024 when taking a 24 month contract.

If it's of any help to anyone, I got a letter from Vodafone trying to poach me from Virgin as they are openly increasing their prices. The letter states "monthly price will increase, each April, from April 2024 (not 2023).

I don’t think you get the cashback as well as the voucher?

    Yes you do.
log in to Topcashback - do broadband compare - find this deal, follow the link and make purchase
this way you get both as advertised

    Thank you

Just to be watch out if you get voucher it may have one time purchase. I had mine £100 and didn't realised I only spent £20 or something on 1 purchase then remaining lost.

Almost a 15% price increase in April

I’m with giganet via cityfibre on their 150mbs symmetric service at £32/month with no increases. 3 months free, no contract, top class router, free cf installation, £50 Amazon voucher via cityfibre website.

A decent deal if anyone wants something short term.

After April, I’ll probably tie into a deal like this Vodafone (cityfibre) one. I assume, aside from the router, all cityfibre providers are broadly similar in terms of speed/dropouts.
Currently get 10ms ping, 90% of the time 500mbps, 10% of the time 10-15 mbps.

I might do some fault tracing as 15mbps isn’t really acceptable, but the main reason I got cityfibre was to avoid complete dropouts. I only really “need” ~25mbps, so long as there aren’t regular dropouts.
In a month, I’ve had 1 dropout, requiring a router restart. Fairly happy, all in all.

Waaay better than Vodafone mobile broadband that I was on before. (edited)

I'm currently out of contract but hanging on until after the CPI Imcreases before I re contract as I'm hoping they will match this price for 'new' customers. Worth waiting to find out what deals are available post increases
    amz84uk's avatar
That’s a wise decision. I’m in the same boat too.

TalkTalk had renewed me on £20 per month fixed for 18 months, but they disconnected me accidentally last week.

I’ve joined up with Vodafone Fibre with activation today, but noticed that they will increase my £21 per month by 25% in April, to £26.25!

I’m temporarily using a rolling monthly unlimited data SIM card with home router, and getting good enough download / upload speeds for just £20. It’s not super fast but nobody in the house has noticed any buffering issues!

How easy is it to move from Virgin (Cable) to one of these fibre deals? We've got Cityfibre in the area now but I'm a bit scared of losing access for days on end now I'm mostly working from home.
    CatsWithThumbs's avatar
As they are completely different systems there isn't a "switch over" as such, as you would when moving from (say) Sky to Talktalk which are both on Openreach. So you would have to arrange your new fibre deal and cancel your VM independently, I would probably aim for perhaps a week crossover in services just in case of any teething problems.
  10. mittromney's avatar
How do you get £43 TCB with this?
At TCB there is no giftcloud vendor and on their Vodafone deals this is £76.50 cashback.
  11. Dazimus's avatar
Could I use my ASUS AX-82U as a router? I currently have my Virgin SuperHub in modem mode and not sure if Vodafone have something similar with their router?
    spycat's avatar
Yes you can connect it directly to the fttp modem, you just have to get the pppoe login details from Vodafone.
  12. husain_kola's avatar
Trying to purchase, website just crashes tried different browsers as well? I tried to chat with them on live chat, no help!
    m1kehunt's avatar
You won't get anywhere with chat - I went through to "tech support" and requested they escalate to 3rd line support but they kept blaming the 3rd party even though it errors through the vodafone domain?! Maybe they've realised this is too much of a good deal, who knows..

Terrible website. The cookie preferences widget is broken so even targeting cookies can't be disabled, and no combination of options gets me through the form. One tries to connect vodafone.comundefined and another comes back with "Something went wrong."

    Not exactly inspiring confidence!
    tight's avatar
    Same.
I can see the plan options, if I go through the normal process.
But the 'decisiontechvoucher' url route results in the undefined page.
  15. jamgin's avatar
When the hell if OFCOM going to sort out the internet companies and their shady dealings with contracted monthly prices.
If the offer is £30/month for 24 months then that's what it should be. Plain and simple.
    Sawb's avatar
Plain and simple you are welcome to throw away the giftcard to ensure you pay the higher amount.
  16. kureigusan's avatar
Just got off the phone with Vodafone.

They are announcing increase plans for contracts in first week of March.

You are free to leave the contract within 14 days without fees from the activation date.

    Hope that helps anyone.
    losimagic's avatar
so if we sign up today, our price will go up in a couple of weeks time, before installation?
  17. Dazimus's avatar
Just had a call from someone in the Directors Office at Vodafone. Long story short, they confirmed that any contracts taken out prior to 24th February WILL get a price rise this April. So anyone who took this deal will be affected.

I’ve cancelled my order and said I’ll place a new order today.
  18. Dewi_Parry's avatar
Just to say I am a very picky internet purchaser and Vodaphone is hands-down the best provider I have used in 20 odd years. Reported a network fault on Weds night and it was being fixed Friday morning. Other than a problem with the Openreach cable coming loose on the pole (not Vodafone's fault) the connection has been fast and rock solid. Admittedly this is my first fibre contract, but the customer service when I had a fault knocks all of the other providers into a cocked hat. I'll probably switch at the end of my contract to get the best deal elsewhere, but I can recommend them as a reseller 100%

Are you referring to this bit of that page? if so not relevant to Vodafone
    (1) Shell initially told us that all customers are subject to its annual price rise. It has since clarified that those who signed up on or after 9 January 2023 will not see a price increase until 2024.
  20. heathergreen1's avatar
So... I rang Virgin up to see if I could get a better deal with the intention of switching to this one if I didn't get any joy. An hour and a half later, having negotiated a £7 discount, I then accepted the online offer on my account which gives me M250 for just under £20 a month. Result! It will be subject to the price increase but I'm happy with double the speed I've got now. So... anyone who wants to negotiate with Virgin get the discount added first which should hopefully affect the online price offer (click through from the price increase email) and get an upgrade at the same time you get a discount. Anyone receiving an 'undefined' error when clicking 'view broadband plans' on the vodafone website? It works in an incognito browser but obviously to get the £155 it needs to be in the link provided by giftcloud...
    whitman_the_cat's avatar
Yes, for me as well. Not trying to buy, just seeing the prices for me and the same clicking through from TCB as well.
  22. ptkdon's avatar
Is this easy to swap over from BT to Vodafone?
    Saif_Anwar's avatar
It depends. if Vodafone is using city fibre to install your broadband then they may need to install a new ont. If openreach have fttp in your area and you already have a openreach ont in you r house it will take the standard wait time
  23. Lloydinio's avatar
My experience with Vodafone Wi-Fi was terrible. Cut off loads, speeds dropped. In the end we had to cancel it.
    Mogolent's avatar
Why not to buy a decent mesh routers? I connected mine and got about 700mbit over wifi
  24. Mal.Schauen's avatar
Does anyone have good tips how to go about extending a contract? Mine is going to run out on April.
    Mogolent's avatar
Why? I upgraded my contract twice within minimum 2 years term, even for cheaper deal without issues. Got a new 2 years contract (edited)
  25. spycat's avatar
Worth adding if you have a 18mo simo plan with them then this is discounted another £3 or £2 if you have a 12mo simo.
  26. Remus81's avatar
Seems that vodafone is the only viable option for me in my area (currently on VM 350), however I can't get the option for 500mb unfortunately.....200mb is the max available option at the same flippin price
    GapsOfTheGod's avatar
Same for me. It's odd, as the comparison sites list 500 as being available to me, but then only 200 max on the Vodafone site.
  27. SebK's avatar
If you are thinking of Vodafone get 6e router, much better than the standard one and much faster than BT broadband if you are in the Openreach area also their booster is far superior to BT discs, which I do not recommend. (edited)
    Dazimus's avatar
The problem for me is that there’s not enough Ethernet ports on their 6E router for my Eufy hub, consoles and TV to be wired.

I'm still with Sky, they're increasing prices, but got an email saying:

We hope you’ll continue to enjoy our services but if you’re not happy with these changes, you can cancel your Sky Broadband and Talk or Broadband Boost (as applicable). If you’re within your minimum contract period, call us on 0344 824 4450 within 30 days of getting this email to avoid early termination charges. Unless you tell us otherwise, your Sky subscriptions will continue as usual.

I assume this means I can ring up and get out of the broadband with them and only be liable for 14-30 days more service? I've already filled in the application for Vodafone with topcashback and giftcloud and it has been successful. I went for the £36 a month for the 6e Plus 500 Fibre as the hardware looks amazing. I set install date on 20th March to give me time to sort Sky lol.
    Uumode's avatar
I thought it was a smart speaker as it looks like one but sadly not. Functionality wise it's quite basic with no specs or manual, but speed wise should be fast if your home devices support the latest WiFi standards.
  32. Uumode's avatar
Anyone know if upon creating a new Vodafone online full fibre broadband account if you can login to it with username and password to view account details and plan? Can't log in it errors and help desk say it's like that until the broadband gives live.

REALLY? Never had this with other providers, can always login even if services not active yet to update details or view order details etc.

I've got the same email, but if you click and go onto the online help page, there's a link to a new offer. I'm being offered their M250 package for £26.45 a month. That's tempting.

I currently have Virgin 275mb for £24, deal ends in June. I'd be happy with Virgin if their router was any good ! I've spent hours on the phone, try this try that etc .. we'll send you out a wifi pod but it still varies between 20 & 275mb
I'll be contacting them to leave for this deal, I'd rather they didn't offer me a deal to stay
