Can't get dpm's 30th December 2022 deal unexpired a 2nd time now this is back in stock at a slightly lower price. Am motivated by being so very pleased my purchase of it in January. dpm's expired thread might give ways to get the price down a little more using codes & such but they might since have expired.

I bought this printer a few days ago for a few pounds more than this. So far it's working really well with fast duplex printing over wifi and scanning seems to be perfectly adequate. The quick setup guide is not very useful and I ended up resorting to youtube to figure out how to install the toner and drum.

did not even realise I'd installed the drum until replacing toner for 1st time. Then found it awkward as being a dope I could not comprehend size difference until having a think. Bought 4 compatible 3k sheet ones off ebay for £30, 1st of them is working fine out of box no need to chip. Wife prints a heck of a lot of sheets & labels so had to move us off HP inkjet.

Where is best place for Toner for this?
    Top_5s's avatar
You can't search online with the toner model number, but I got mine for something like £12 on Amazon and it apparently can print up to 12k documents, even of it gets 1k prints I'm happy, currently printed over 500+ and it's still going strong on the same toner. Ink printers would've been on the 10th refill as I only get like 30 prints before having to replace. (edited)

Recommended. Had this for just over a year following another deal posting (£123) and it has been great for wife's printing and I've scanned some old photos too and results were v.good. Will be time for new toner soon so recommendations/ links welcome. I might try on ebay now while I remember!

£29.99 (was £3 less only yesterday) for ebay title "4x Toner Compatible for Brother DCP-L2510D HL-L2310D L2350CDW MFC-L2710DW TN2420" apparently high capacity claim 3k pages each. Worked out of box for me no messing. The toner that came with the machine ran out pretty fast guess it's a low sheet sample (keep the screw on chip when finished just in case - see other threads). No problems so far. Guess many other compatibles just as fine or better value.

Also bought this in a previous deal with VGB-UK15NEW code. It's a good printer, as usual with Brother it's solid and reliable with cheap compatible toner cartridges. I've got two label printers from them as well and they're excellent too.

If you like to run your Windows PC as lean as possible, you can install the basic printer driver rather than the 400mb (!) full driver software. I found this took ages to install and then kept popping up annoying windows/messages all the time from the utilities it installs.

Basic driver is called "Add Printer Wizard Driver" from here - brother.co.uk/sup…ads

That worked for me. Admit the frequent app update pop-ups on my other laptop are annoying & I worry new firm & soft might stop compatible toners working perfect as they presently do. Can see printer knows non-genuine.

I have this printer. The ink drums last a long time. Not colour but way better than getting an inkjet that would cost a fortune to run.
  7. aarste's avatar
I've had this for 2 and a half years now, still going strong and not a single paper jam or ink fault. Still using the same toner as well, but I only print a couple times a year. I'm glad I've ditched inkjet printers, they're terrible (edited)

viking odd similar thing happened with dpm's listing too to start with - definitely £133.22 including VAT for me. Forgive me if I've made a silly error. Got it for nearer £115 using codes but I've not checked they are still valid. (edited)

Sorry just don't know why - can certainly add it to my basket at £133.22 including VAT. It's not some simple VAT discrepancy as the maths does not work.

Was the same last time, some could get it and some couldn't. I got it at the lower price. Not used it much yet but it's been easy to set up and managed a few prints and faxes. Heat OP.

Price is good but it is very cheap quality, it was the worst printer I ever bought, will not last for more than 12 months as it should do

Lovely printer, got the non scanner one on top 3 months ago but would have got this one if I knew it existed.

Only negative is you do miss the colour.... and it can feel somewhat rubbish one has to sacrifice colour printing due to colour toner ridiculously prices. If the Colour toners were 20-30 quid it would be acceptable but I believe the cheapest ones were around 40-50 quid (3rd party).

My last Dell all in one colour laser toners were 20 quid for all 5 colour toners, but dell for some insane reason stopped producing these amazing printers which were worth their weight in gold.

We have bought 2 L2710DW from them with a code. 140 Inc VAT each, higher model, more functions. Can't fault it. One cardridge 1000pages lasts at 5.6% for 800 pages with ECO on, only let down. Great apps, android and windows plus web interface.

I got this for £112.40 with the VGB-UK15NEW.. This was a few weeks ago.. I've logged into my account today and it comes up as £113.24 using the same above code , there was a time when this was first posted in December for I think around £134 I wasn't able to get it less than 160ish with vat.. Not sure how their site works but I'm guessing if you wait a few days before trying again you might be quids in, I placed my order 5th Feb so I waited a few weeks.

From memory, I think it's new customer only. Choose Ex. VAT prices (although you don't need to be a business)
