With two swimming pools and a great bar-come-lounge, the Rosen Inn International Drive is the perfect place to relax when you’re not out exploring Orlando. The Rosen Inn International Drive used to be known as the Quality Inn International. It’s just a few minutes’ drive from Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando® Resort and SeaWorld® Orlando. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus to most of them. When you’re not enjoying the parks, you’ve got two pools to relax by. There’s a playground and a games room for children, too, plus a couple of food and drink options.

If you've dreamt of getting the kids to Disney then this is how you do it on a budget. 14 full days in the parks - a place to put your head down in the evening and perhaps a swim in the morning/day.
Nothing to add other than it does what it says on the tin. But my goodness the kids will never forget it.

On a budget is relative sadly. No way to get around those £800pp themepark tickets. I'd start the budget at £6500 for a Disney and Universal holiday (using this offer).

Also, don't forget about Park reservations and the need to get boarding passes to go on the Tron coaster or Guardians of the Galaxy.

Be prepared for a shock with pricing (especially food) over there. Everything has risen considerably the past few years and makes our recent rises look like nothing.

Totally agree. There was a post like this last year and many did not believe me about the costs. I have visited USA four times since covid restrictions got lifted and prices have gone up a lot since precovid.

at least petrol costs have gone back to $3.30 a gallon. But car hire is still about 50% higher than it was in 2020. (edited)

Don't wanna be rude but spending 2 weeks with the wife and kids in room like this will get crazy. (edited)

Use as base to sleep, get universal passes and go to Volcano bay as your daily beach/pool destination (+ all the other stuff florida has to offer) (edited)

Avoid Disney avoid the theme parks all together, rent a car and go to Poe Springs, Weeki Wachee springs, Silver Springs, Daytona Beach, Wild Florida. Going to Florida doesn't have to be just about the theme parks it has so much more to offer.

Price has increased now on those dates. Best price now in next few months is 18th April, Manchester, Ramada Plaza resort. £436pp before vchr code. Includes a continental breakfast though, which is worth something, especially with the price of eating out over there now!

Excellent deal, but be aware that Disney tickets will cost you over £2,000 for the time you are there, if you do choose to go to the parks.

The park itself is a ripoff with insane food prices like $30 for a burger plus the fact that they turned woke ruining all the nostalgia just makes it a big pass

Florida is still a great vacation spot and not as expensive as Hawaii

I went to miami/florida in January 4years ago (before covid) stayed with family, so there was no accommodation costs but still spent almost $6000 in 2weeks including 3day disneyland stay.

Unless you plan to stay in the hotel for 14nights, this is not a budget deal whatsoever.

But yea... gone are the days of taking holiday during term time! Both kids in primary so it's expensive season's for us only

Be aware of the costs of eating out when you just have a room. What was a cheap mcds dinner is now 10 dollars a meal. There's ways to save in other areas though, like using the public bus or the trolley bus. You can balance it out OK. If you fancy seaworld you can get a fun pass to cover the rest of the year so you can spend most of your two weeks there as filler days with one day at magic Kingdom, one day water park etc.
Even self catering is expensive because food is extortionate. Gone are the days when it's worth going to the outlets too. This isn't going to be a bargain.

We've actually stayed here, back in 2013. (realisation that it's been 10 years has just sunk in). I don't have any bad memories of the trip. The rooms were ok, but just rooms. If you're in Florida and spending time in you're room, you're doing it wrong. Plenty around here on international drive. I agree things are a lot more expensive now, but every little helps, so save a chunk on flights and accommodation so you can spend more money on enjoying yourself.
