About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
Another great price for a budget holiday at the stunning Lake Garda. Flights and a week stay in Eurocamp included! I have added a 20kg bag to the flights, as think it's kind of a must, but optional to add further baggage. The park is about 15 miles from the airport, quite close, but would have to factor in transfer costs.
Various dates across May 2023 (Dependent on Flight Prices, but using 9th - 16th May as an Example:
4* hu Altomincio Family Park: 9th -16th May (Total: £155.45)
Why you'll love this parc
High times, and high slides, in this vibrant parc that takes pool fun seriously!
There’s nothing like the sight and sound of your kids screaming with delight as they scoot down a fantastic water slide in an amazing swimming pool. Get ready for this feeling at Altomincio, a high-quality parc for families of all ages.
The pool complex includes outdoor, lagoon and kids’ pool complete with spongy surface. There are also sports fields, crazy golf, kids’ disco, play area and lots more activities organised by the parc’s ‘animateur’. After a day packed with activities, enjoy a freshly baked pizza before treating everyone to delicious ice creams from the gelateria. During your stay, you could also enjoy the excitement of the Gardaland theme park. With off-pitch parking and super facilities for kids, this is a great choice if you’ve got toddlers too.
Ryanair (Stansted to Verona) - 2 Adults and 2 Kids (With 20kg Luggage) : Total £169.60

All for £325 (Other dates, than the 9th might be a bit more)

A week before the school holidays, the prices are £100s
A week during the school holidays, the prices are £600s
I know it's a business, I know, but the reality is, holidays today are either for the very rich, or for parents willing to take their kids out of school
For the rest of us, it's a non-starter -- a shame that families can't really give their kids a great holiday for a reasonable price
Personally, I'd suggest looking at Peschiera. It's more expensive than Salizione, but I think Salizione might be a bit of a false economy because Peschiera has better public transport connections. You might spend £200 more, but your airport transfers from Verona to Sirmione are a bus and a train, not a taxi. And if you want to go to Verona or Milan for a day out, you have the train (Verona is about £6 return). And Peschiera is connected to other places around lake garda by ferry.
What age do those with experience reckon its best before attempting a holiday like this with wee ones, or will the travel always be awkward for the 1st few years?
but just don’t see it happening, kids are at school during these dates (1 secondary, 1 primary, 1 nursery).
Money has also been tight as we bought a house last year, but this is a good price that I can probably afford, just the school issue…😔
Have to say Car hire is extortionate. 9 days for a Ford Fiesta is over £400! I've paid £60 in the past in Spain.
If you do decide to go, Tesco Clubcard points can be used (edited)
