Incredible deal this, has been posted before earlier this year at £908 for the 2 people option, so this is a bargain. Link to that which contains useful info here. Sailing on the Enchantment of the seas, (with a top tier company).

Shame I can't get this to work dates wise as it's only £28pp/pn for the couple option or £18 for the family option. - £50 (basic fare) is what I tend to aim for.

Majority of days are at sea, as with any transatlantic crossing, but still wonderful for the price. Flights are not included, but should be able to find some decent ones around times of deaparture/coming back.

Included in cruise
  • All meals
  • Activities
  • Daily entertainment
  • Port fees and taxes

No thanks , flights back will be pricey and at $8 for a bottle of beer , $10 a pint , $16 a cocktail. I would be sober .
And as above it’s a very old ship .

Also title needs too say flights not included as this will go hot Due too unintelligent voters lol ! So this isn’t the real price (edited)

Decent price for a 2 week cruise but consider the following,

You need to get back from Tampa and one way fares can be expensive

enchantment of the seas is one of the oldest ships in the RCI fleet

Drinks prices on RCI are very expensive. Drinks bill will be high for 2 weeks

Are you allowed to take your own drinks on board like bottles of spirit etc?

What about the flights from UK to Barcelona and then a flight from Florida back to the UK. I don't think it's fair to advertise this at £796 when in actual fact it will cost at least another £600 in flights

There are some people who have homes in Florida, they take a transatlantic sailing over in Autum and back in the spring, easier and a nicer way to travel, if you’ve got the time.

Source: used to work on cruise ships and also used to live in Florida.

Now that's what I call a proper Cruise, with all the appeal and fascination of the wild seas with minimum of land fall 🚢

It's amusing how passionately angsty people are getting over flights in the comments... if you've got the time why not spend a few days in Barcelona beforehand, maybe add a week in Tampa at the end? Both are sunnier than the UK and are holiday destinations in their own right.

If a holiday to Barcelona and Florida appeals and you fancy a cruise between the two then this is the cheapest way to do it, not everybody wants to be stuck with the Norwegian Fjords or the western Med just because they leave from Southampton. Heat (edited)

    + Flights
    London- Barca approx £30 pp
Tampa- London Gatwick approx £200 pp

4 people add on £1000+ for additional flights/ airport transport/ parking etc so about £2k.

Plus extra if you want to stay in USA for a while (it would be a shame to not stay a few days, you have come a long way after all)

I think this isn’t too bad a deal if you was planning on going to USA (The SE, in particular) as flights are probably going to be about £400 pp London- Tampa on those dates anyway, so £1600.

Tampa humidity in November is 75%, but 1000-1900 it’s not too bad. Nov has the lowest rainfall all year. Typically 16-26°c.

It’s probably going to sticky at night, but otherwise sounds nice. And I’ll bet there won’t be too many tourists either, as it’s out of season.

Amazing deal if it were one of the newer larger ships, this ship is tiny and you would be bored to death after 4 days

Also add about £900pp for the 2 flights needed . As not included

You can Add at least £900 per person for both flights as you need decent luggage for cruising .
    So very very cold deal

It’s a good deal, people saying you’d be bored stiff.. no different from sunbathing at a hotel in Spain food is always great & entertainment decent, smaller royal ships are much nicer unless you have kids.

if you use RCI flight program(they include a bag and you can do your own dates)
(smart people will be able to find it)

    Good routes seats are limited.

You can get flights both ways LHR under £470pp
doing some add on days before or after then seen £420pp

Might be able to squeeze that

plenty of add on options like another cruise before or after or just hang out in BCN or Florida.

As said Orlando is not that far and you can get the budget airlines back which may be better for the regional people not close to London.

    There are advantages to both,
this way 5x25hr days handy for the ate night partying.
other way 5x23hr days and great aft sunsets if the ship has aft bar/seating.

there are loads to look at that are not the quick QM2 runs to NY.

I’m on the Symphony that leaves a weeks earlier. You need to add gratuities on top of the room price. These come to £16 per person per day.

£224 pp in tips this is the deal that keeps going up!

    So it’s £1000
    + £1000 in flights
    + £1000 in tips

    So £3000 for 4 people

Flights make it too expensive and with most days at sea, you will be bored stiff.

Some people love the days at sea. There are people who specifically book transatlantic to have that detachment.

November in the North Atlantic is cold; the weather at this time of year can be dreadful; a very heavy swell from the south west can make the 5 days at sea extremely unpleasant.
You pay you money and make your choice, but my advice as a seasoned seafarer is to pass on this deal.
    mattsole's avatar

As a very seasoned seafarer (worked on cruise ships for over 15 years and crossed the Atlantic many times) I’d say go for the deal if it suits you. I’ve never had a bad Atlantic crossing. Always made the Azores and love the long days at sea.
