Why is this hot? This is my phone and I paid £850 for it brand new over 12 months ago.

Amazing bit of kit though. Much prefer it over the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 which I also briefly owned.

Amazing price but my previous experience of making Google work on a phone without it was not worth my time or patience

Amazing hardware but software that is a nightmare to get Google Playstore on and they want £900 - no thanks

A nightmare to get Google Playstore? Which instructions have you been following. Granted, it's a bit of a faff, but hardly a nightmare.

£900 for a two year old chinaphone with the worst OS support by a mile?

    Couldn’t imagine a worse deal.

The worst OS by far yet Android 13 is running on Huawei's file system.

Better folding phone in every way.
CEX grade A means virtually brand new.

Yeah, after using both, I cannot agree more. If you are careful with your phones and also use a tablet often, the Fold4 is a game changer. Got mine in as new condition from the GiffGaff deal for £700 spread over 24 months with no interest. (edited)

    Why even make folding phones?
Just make decent build quality phones with minimum 8gb ram and 256GB along with good screen, good chip and excellent camera.
Good standards have been set for a while but still manufacturers keep going in the wrong direction and fitted old tec or unwanted features.
2023 and still companies building for half measures.
No Google play so basically half a phone

Having lived with a folding phone for a couple of years now (Fold then Fold 3) I don't think I can go back. I use the front screen sometimes, but being able to open it out for a proper screen to watch a video, or game, or just read news articles at a decent size is so much better

Or just buy a samsung fold 4 off eBay in a good nick. Probs get more out of that than this.

a big heavy old folding phone. am i right in thinking the folding screen is on the outside? how exactly can you protect that in your pocket

do yourselves a favour and buy a fold3 or fold4 second hand.

I've owned both and I did myself a favour by ditching the Fold. Can't comment on the Fold 4, mind.

If you install Google Playstore with Googlefier, would the UK banking apps work as normal?

Are they many cases that accommodate the phones ability to fold?

I tend to use a large bump case (to avoid damaging a super expensive phone) but I imagine due to the functionality of the phone - a case would prevent their benefits.

    Am I right or wrong?
