Even cheaper than last time. Some dodgy reviews but half-decent motor with an alleged 40nm of torque. How bad can it be?

What is it mounted on front fork? Looks like Vbrake

Yeah the fork looks really nasty and appears to be designed for V brakes but then modified to take disc brakes. The rear carrier looks weak and the disc rotors don't have much meat to them, theirs more ventilation than actual contact area for the brake pads. Some people will get away with the spec I'm sure and upgrading it to a better ebike wouldn't cost a lot of money. As ever with such ebikes they are assembled quite rapidly in the factory and need a thorough check over and adjustment when you get one. So really only an option for mechanically minded individuals. Even top end bikes need a few adjustments after a week or so and perhaps a mini service after a month. If you are mechanically minded it could be a great ebike if you are clueless about bike maintenance you probably won't be happy with it unless you stump up for your local bike repairer to do the work but then if you do that you would have been better off buying a bike from Halfords, Decathlon or your local bike shop.

Good price, If I wanted one I'd contact Amazon and ask the a question "if for any reason I want to return it inside 12 months, will Amazon give me a full refund" if they agree, then ask them to email you the proof then order it.

If they won't, then just don't order it.

    Covered.

I presume you mean unused and same condition as bought. Don’t think you’re entitled to a 12 month free trial from any retailer.

Got this exact model when it was this price before Christmas. It's brilliant, no issues. I think the first review saying it was dangerous has put people off. I've had several electric bikes and I would say quality is better than most. The bad review was written by a bike delivery driver, no wonder the rear carrier wouldn't hold the huge deliveroo box and its contents!

You've guys posting above that spent a few grand on the same thing, 2 wheels and an electric motor 😜

If you decide to buy, don't get over excited after delivery and take it to bike mechanic for check up. Eventually take a wrench, allan key and do it yourself. When all is checked this bike should be great value for money.

I bought different bike from Amazon and on first ride wheel nearly came off.

Is the light on the charger coming on? Sometimes the chargers are the fault.

If it is the battery (has fully discharged) you may have to try charging it for up to 12 hours before it slowly kicks back into life.

Best place for ebike problems is pedelecs.co.uk/forum/ (edited)

I'd also store the battery pack well away from anywhere you sleep in case it burns ya house down.

Storing it outside in a shed will mean the cold saps the energy out of it so it's probably a lose lose

    Thinking outside the box.

MXUS Motors are decent. I find it very telling when the crux of a bad review is that the gears aren’t shifting properly, brakes needed adjusting, or bolts aren’t tight, all this tells me is that this buyer had no business buying a bike on the internet that requires assembly! These are the kind of people that Local Bike shops are designed for.

I see this all the time and completely unfair to the retailers concerned. There was a review on the Argos site for a bike that was only about £100 and said after 4 months the brakes got weaker and the gears didn't shift as well and it was clear the reviewer had done no maintenance at all. I was amazed that it even rode well out of the box as many such bikes need a mini-service before fit for the road. £100 retail doesn't allow for much adjustment time at the factory. Some people are just completely unfair and unreasonable. They expect to pay very little for something and yet have it perfectly set up for them. Many of these people ignore the requires assembly description or the manual stating it needs to be checked by a bike mechanic or competent individual. It reminds me of this video where the general public with no mechanical skill try to assemble bikes. The video's verdict is the bikes are unsafe but really the people involved are clueless and should be buying bikes from their local bike shop and getting maintenance there too. As far as I can tell they all look like solid basic bikes that properly assembled should work well. I've bought such a bike in the past for commuting and rode it for many thousands of miles with only minor issues that could effect any bike even high end bikes, a puncture or two etc. Such bikes go through a certification process where frames, forks, wheels are comprehensively tested but they still have to be assembled correctly.

Any buyers care to share their experiences setting this beast up?

Personally struggling with the front brake. Disc rubbing on rotor and that's even after investing 20 minutes watching YouTube videos!

I had just to loosen it. I am not sure if it's not too loose now as I didn't had a test drive yet, but that initial rubbing is gone. To be honest it was the easiest flat packed bike to set up ever, all presets were almost good what's not always been so

Which bike is better for the spec and performance,
I had the bike in the above link and wondering if this is an upgrade in anyway or if there's any downsides
    Both are same price

Swifty wouldn't be a much of an upgrade.
