I have this phone. Good one. But camera is disappointing for what is advertised. Same quality as my Moto G8 plus I owned it years back. I compare this with my current realme 8 5g camera and I think Moto needs vast improvements as the pics doesn't let much light in. If you need all lenses in a camera with a mild compromise on quality of the picture (based on whats is over-advertised as ultra pixel), 256fb storage, this package could be for you. Otherwise look for Samsung A series. Not to mention Motorola will be sluggish in releasing updates, including bux fixes and major upgrades. Btw, this phone will get only Android 14 and nothing beyond as a standard G series rollout standard. (edited)

I'm after a replacement for my Moto play, as it is starting to fail, for a basic user of calls, whatsapp, basic internet browsing and you tube would this do the job? This is my second Moto phone, and for my needs it has been brilliant for me.

Any advice for a phone novice is greatly appreciated.
