Mobile Phones Direct is listed as a participating retailer. So you can claim £150 cashback via samsung for purchasing the S23 Plus. (edited)

As I posted above, you cannot pay the contract off other than by cancelling it. There may be an option to cancel within the 14 day cooling off period & pay off the handset cost but no idea what that would amount to.
Compared to here at a cost of £759 over the term after trade with 80gb data, even at the added RPI / CPI in April of next year, will be nowhere near £1187, so better off with contract at current rates
So I'd recommend setting up an account with the new sim card you got, then explicitly setting bill cap on your account. (edited)
