A bit niche, but this paint works miracles and is always incredibly expensive. Seems like a good time to stock up as I don't think they're normally included in the 3 for 2 offers.

Usually around £25 per litre, so good saving if you fancy stocking up.

3 x 1L for £50 (£16.66 per Litre)

3 x 2.5L for £102 (£13.60 per Litre)

All other interior paints and mixed paints are included in the 3 for 2.

Recently hear comments from my builder that Dulux Trade Satinwood (both oil based & QuickDry) going yellow on him and also being very very thin (ie not covering)

I presume his prep is at fault.

    Any tips/comments?

Recently done a room with Satinwood, needs good prep and an underlay like this really as its really thin stuff.

Oil based ones always tend to yellow more over time, satinwood is great but would need to sand the gloss off first and then apply a primer like this

The Screwfix no nonsense one is virtually the same. I have used both for staining and water damage cover ups.

    Good to know thanks.

Do you know the best way to eliminate lines when rolling walls, ceilings with vinyl Matt emulsion?

Just done some ceilings and I can see roller lines which is doing my head in. I used 12" Harris rollers. I also used Wickes own trade vinyl Matt.
But I've also used Dulux trade vinyl Matt and that's done the same?

This stuff is so good put it on freshly plastered walls after a mist coat gives the flatest surface to paint on and drys fast. 7.5l for me.

l hate to say it but you shouldnt really do that if new plaster, the plaster needs month or so to dry a contract matt lets it breathe.. if its ok and dry you should be ok but its pointless really.
No painter decorator would paint zinner bin on new walls its expensive and cant see the point really unless a problem with damp marks etc

Just to point out that the offer does not include white emulsions and pre-mixed tester pots, but all other paint is included. The offer continues until 17 April, too.

Great paint as a primer for anyone upcycling furniture. It seals the surface and you don't get any bleed through. It is like skimmed milk in colour and viscosity though so can use through a sprayer if needs be. Dries really flat if applied correctly

Honestly great stuff. Covers up all greasy fingerprints the kids left plus again greasy stains over the cooker after tenancy finished.

Good price but as a DIYer I found this to be messy and difficult to work with when compared to 1-2-3.

That said this managed to get rid of our “prostitute red” wall that our predecessors thought would be a good idea in the kitchen/diner!

What’s the main difference between 123 and BIN ?
  24. nazx's avatar

Is BIN good for brand new pine knotty softwood staircase spindles / handrails / bannister ? Can I avoid using knitting solution and go straight onto this on the knotty pine?

Zinnser have something called 'cover stain' which is good for priming new wood.
  25. smokedsausage's avatar
    smokedsausage
No probs, but zinnser coverstain wont block knots in pine its totally different from redwood cedar bleed, it will bleed through in a month or 2 sadly.

    All the best
