I got one of these last time it was on offer at this price about a month ago. Cracking little machine with backlit keyboard, WiFi 6e (AX), Thubderbolt 4 port, bluetooth 5.2, 8GB memory which can be expanded to 12Gb (no idea why that config!!) but not USB c charging unfortunately.
Initially had a few worries about the noise of the fan but that settled down over time.
I know it is "only an i3" but latest generation so as futureproofed as you can get.

I have this laptop and it does charge via thunderbolt 4 with my 65W GAN charger.

This 12th gen i3 is faster than the 11th gen i5.

    Well worth for the money.

This is pretty much what I'm after but I reeeeeeeeally want a laptop with USB C charging. I'm past the days of having 50 different chargers for every device in the house.

When I upgrade my laptop now it has to have a backlit keyboard (hugely underrated feature) and USB C charging.

Good chance it can be charged via usb-c too since it has thunderbolt 4. Find the spec sheet on the Acer site and see if it says power delivery or not. If you can find it then Acer might have chat support to confirm or not. Customer support seems useless at this stuff though, I spoke to dell who confirmed that my laptop didn't have USB C charging, I thought it looks like it does so I bought it anyway and it did. Don't know why these companies don't advertise it more and stick to old barrel style chargers. Apple switched to usb c ages ago I think so it must be reliable enough to use all the time. My laptop is charged using usb c most of the time.
