    Weight and battery complaint on a gaming laptop? You'll never find a lightweight gaming laptop with high performance and wattage components, the batteries are always a compromise and often little more than extended UPS.

    I know everything you said. I didn't "complain", just said that for me it's too heavy and that need better battery..BTW, the latest Zephyrus M16 is still very lightweight and its GPU reaches 145watts, I would say that's something..but something too expensive. Latest rog flow X16 is the closest compromise to what I could decide to buy...but still too expensive. It's very difficult to find the perfect laptop,but you can go close to it if you're patient.     But it appears that Currys are only releasing a limited number of units per day
    I noticed this pattern few days ago, but wanted to A) make sure this was actually what they were doing and B) bag one for myself before saying anything

    Yep ordered.

    To whomever asked I did see the deal on the updated 4070 model for £100 more. It's an edu deal so it may or may not re-appear. It seems there has been some cheapening from Leonovo of the 8th gen devices vs 7th gen. Jarrod's initial video seems to suggest the new 5 pro is more similar to the 2022 5, ie lower build quality etc. It also doesn't seem to have Thuderbolt anymore, which is a deal killer for me. Still obviously a very good price if it does come around again.

    Sorry to be clear the approx £1450 price for the 4070 model expired some time ago. It had the 4070,, a 13th gen HX processor and 32GB RAM. As I said, a lot of reviews saying the 8th gen model has had a lot of cheapening, cheaper case, removal of TB for example. I'm coming from a Razer and can't stand cheap feeling laptops, hence why I went for this one which apparently has good build quality.nnif it doesn't I'll send it back! The 4070 model also shipped with no OS. (edited)

    Ok, I’ve given in and ordered. Been looking at a decent gaming laptop deal since moving and being told my old tower setup is taking up too much space/too unsightly 😳.
    Slightly over what I planned budget-wise but the 3070Ti, 16 GBRAM and 1TB SSD gives it more longevity so better investment longer term (that’s how I’m justifying it 😏).
    Potential 3% through TCB too…

    I was watching this for days. It came back into stock again this morning but wouldn't check out. I spoke to a customer services rep through video chat (it's just audio btw) and she found out that after being forced to change my account password (it's been a while since I bought anything from them) it messed up my account and made it un-useable - no idea why and nothing would check out, however we found that I was able to purchase the laptop as a guest without logging in. It's out of stock again now, but they may get more stock.

    I've just ordered too. This is a cracking price. Personally I think this deal offers more value for money compared to the deal for the 4070. That's my personal opinion of course!

    From what I have seen online this 5i pro has been ranked the best laptop of 2022 by many online users and there is very little issues with it.

    Was looking at the new Gen but reviews are saying there is not much in it and last years has much better build quality.

    The price has now bumped to £1699. I noticed Curry's on Ebay had this laptop for such price since a bit; I guess we all have to get used to this random price fluctuations. To be honest, I hate it; I know corps only care about profits etc but other than people like HUKDers who are always very aware of such practices, I really feel for the average Joe who just doesn't have a clue and go to waste hundreds more of his money only the day after...
