Dungeon Keeper Gold

Being the Dungeon Keeper and all, this is your home, too. And it’s your business to take these loathsome creatures of darkness and hone them into screaming, frothing, clawing forces of destruction. You lure them in with food and the promise of dank and fetid places to sleep. You keep them in line with the back of your hand and the threat of dire consequences. You pit their scaly hides against the best that the Forces of Good can muster, and they die for you as they rip steaming entrails out of the hapless heroes.

Review:

It’s a degenerate and nasty job… And you love it. Yes, home is where you heart is. In a box. Packed in salt. That's right--Dungeon Keeper, Bullfrog's classic dungeon management strategy, gives you no extra credit for having any morals. After all, the underworld isn't black and white!

  • Includes Dungeon Keeper and the Deeper Dungeons expansion.
  • Revolutionary game packed with tons of dark humor, an impressive variety of hellish creatures, and highly addictive gameplay
  • Build your dungeon, protect it with a labyrinth of dark corridors, a web of deadly traps, an arsenal of powerful spells, and an army of bloodthirsty demons
  • A refreshing title for someone tired of rescuing princesses, saving worlds, and all that love, happiness and political correctness junk. Just this once, be the bad guy!

Dungeon Keeper 2

It feels good to be bad, but it feels even better to be the embodiment of evil! Discover your evil side as you build your own underground kingdom. Carve out a living, breathing world and attract a host of devilish creatures to swell the ranks of your dark hoards. Form an alliance with the Horned Reaper and expand your empire in your quest to reach the daylight and invade the realms above.

Review:

Dungeon Keeper 2 is everything its predecessor was, only better and badder! It is probably one of the most addictive and fun games ever created; with tons of dark humor, smooth gameplay, and high replayability value. In addition to that there is a well designed multiplayer mode and a pet-dungeon module that tests your ability to build the ultimate underground labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and other hellish devices. If you liked Dungeon Keeper you will love this ultimate installment of the Bullfrog series.

Sequel to a timeless classic that takes all what is good from its predecessor and further improves it with new, brilliant, ideas

Highly addictive gameplay includes: managing on micro and macro level, personally possessing your creatures, and slapping chickens

Still unmatched masterpiece, a true multi-genre cross-over done right

Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Complete

Includes Heroes of Might & Magic III and its expansions: Armageddon's Blade and The Shadow of Death

Review:

Murder, treachery, resurrection, savage battles and ultimately-freedom!

When Erathia's King Gryphonheart is murdered by traitors he is resurrected as an undead warlord who leads a ruthless invasion of his former Kingdom. Little resistance is met until his daughter Catherine, Queen of Enroth, returns to her homeland commanding an army of elite Enrothian warriors. Meanwhile the Necromancers raise large hordes of undead and advance towards the Erathian capitol. Queen Catherine receives the aid of her father's survived generals and embarks on a crusade to reclaim her lost land.

You control the greatest heroes and fiercest creatures in a conflict of epic proportions, as Cathereine fights to restore her family's rightful reign, uncover her father's killers and free him from the dark prison of his undead body!

This is a must have for every Might and Magic series fan!

  • Insanely addictive gameplay that will make you want to play “just one more turn” over and over again
  • Great multiplayer, especially when playing in hot seat mode on one PC

I haven't played HOMM for 20 years, the last one being HOMM4. Which of 3, 4 or later is the best?

I wish I could erase Dungeon Keeper from my brain and play it all again for the first time! An utter classic. A remaster with mainly just updated graphics would be so good.

I completed these without using first person view. Did anyone find FPV useful? I think it may be handy to uncover the map yourself as sometimes imps didn't go where you want them too.

Adored the first DK, but I don’t think I ever played the second. Might pick these up. Apparently you can get them to run well on the steam deck. Although with FF collection and Zelda, not sure I’ll have the time to play it!

    From reviews, maybe it helps:

    Do this before playing!
-Increasing resolution and gaining some mercy on your eyes by clicking "ALT + R" ingame, the game will be lagging, to reduce this edit the file "dosboxDK.conf" and change the following "cycles=80000" to "cycles=max".
-Because the game is in dos emulator, using "ALT + F12" will give you fast forward. (google dosbox shortcuts for more info)
