Halfords? You will be walking out the store with it and they will tell you it has failed its MOT and needs new headlights, engine and rear seatbelts

Is that really less than 500 miles, or eBay less than 500 miles?

I just ordered one in store, she said confidently that it'll be 50-100 miles on it. She also said all the electronic components are replaced for new ones. The tyres & chassis etc are the same.

Can't have been owned by the Proclaimers as they were 500 miles away!

Not much use anyway, it'll get stolen. And you cannot put it on a bus (in Kent) wheras a scooter you can (^ ^)

In the blurb in the OP it says “saving an average of 10% off the RRP of a new e-bike“. Why would you bother buying used for only 10% off!? Is this a mistake!? Thanks in advance.

I may not be the norm but if I was doing a trial for a ebike I'd definitely push its capabilities and want to try it up the steepest hills. I'd give it abuse I wouldn't give an ebike I own myself. So personally I'd be wary of a ex-free trial ebike if anyone like me as tested it. Also its a proprietary ebike system from Suntour. Expensive and a little harder to get replacement parts and I think there was an issue with the hub motor having a different cog design internally compared to most hub motors so could be difficult to repair with a new cog and clutch assembly. Proprietary is always bad news for the pocket with ebikes.
