Wing Commander I

Get ready to climb into the cockpit and defend the Terran Confederation from the predatory Kilrathi. As a member of the TCS Tiger’s Claw crew, you’ll be assigned increasingly difficult missions where your skill and reflexes will help you rise through the ranks of your flight wing. With experience (and a little luck) you may even lead the strike on the Kilrathi High Command star base itself.

Wing Commander II

You’re out on patrol when your Strike Carrier, the TCS Tiger’s Claw, is destroyed in a sudden attack. You know a Kilrathi stealth fighter is responsible, but without evidence the blame falls on you. It’s going to take skill, courage, and determination to clear your name and stop the devastating Kilrathi invasion fleet. Wing Commander II gives you everything you loved in the original with improved controls for incredible ship-to-ship combat. Each mission you complete brings you closer to ultimate victory…or abject defeat. Go above and beyond the call of duty to earn extra medals and promotions.

Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger

Become immersed in a futuristic adventure that combines Hollywood's movie-making expertise with the adrenaline-pumping gameplay of a space combat simulation. You are the star. Your actions will determine the eventual fate of the Terran Confederation. Adrenaline, romance, humor, danger — Wing Commander III has it all. The ensemble cast features Mark Hamill, John Rhys-Davies, Malcolm McDowell, and more. Professionally scripted and filmed in Hollywood, EA’s multi-million-dollar production combines the entertainment of filmmaking with the interactivity of computer gaming.

Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom

The year is 2673, four years after the Treaty of Torgo and the end of the Kilrathi War. As hostilities died out, rebuilding what was lost or dealing with space piracy became the Terran Confederation’s biggest concerns. The peace is a fragile one, and all too soon violence erupts on the outskirts of the Confederation, forcing humanity to the brink of civil war. It’s up to you to stop it. The ensemble cast features Mark Hamill, John Rhys-Davies, Malcolm McDowell, and more.

Wing Commander: Privateer

2669, Gemini Sector, Troy System — the Terran frontier between the Kilrathi Empire and the unknown. Here, in the far reaches of space, people live by their own rules. The fringes are populated by a volatile mix of pirates, miners, mercs, cutthroats, and Kilrathi, all struggling to make a life for themselves. You start with a rusted scout ship and a handful of credits in your pocket — the rest is up to you.

I remember having to ask my Dad if I could install WCII on his computer, as it took 10MB of disk space. He nearly had a fit.

can't remember if i played them on PC/Amiga 1200, yet they were magical, it must have been around 94 ish.
X-Wing was another staple. Chris Roberts certainly made his mark.

Awesome games! Surely Mark Hamills most famous acting role for which he is best known!?

If you like seeing "de-aged" Mark Hamill in the Mandalorian but wondered what he would have looked like if they had made 1990s Star Wars sequels, this is probably the closest thing you'll ever get to it. (edited)

    awesome in its day.
But Ive found trying to play old classics today is just a fail. They look terrible, so terrible its off putting and unplayable. Sad but true.

Also, werent the early WC's written with that weird clock speed thing so no idea how itd run on some modern 5ghz beasty!

Yep, I played WCII before WC on a decent PC. I "acquired" a copy of the first game later and it was ridiculously sped up compared to WCII.

Some of the best games ever created. WC2 with the intro was immense (20 odd 3.5" diskettes) . So conflicted to buy or not. Think I am just going to watch a youtube video and be done with it.
