Checked forums at the time turns out this is common failure (since found out same can happen to EVs) if battery goes properly flat your device is scrap....not sure if this was ever rectified or if there was a way to get it back working...anyway just for info of a risk ....I bought a Chinese clone from Amazon had zero issues even when left dead flat it charges up no issueschromartiDid you contact Apple support? fassbenderWeirdly enough this didn't work for me when I used the 'Get Deal' button on this page and then entered the UniDays code. Kept saying the code doesn't exist.
I then tried copying and pasting the 'Launch website' link from UniDays into a private window and then pasted the discount code and it worked!
Don't ask me the chatGPT science behind this - I have no clue why it worked! But if anyone else has the same issue, give it a go.

Vish1Just bought an aftermarket one from Amazon for £15. Used it on my iPad Air and very pleased with it. Works with magnetic charger on iPad and USB C.
Just small advise that you won’t need to spend £79 on Pencil unless you are using it for professional sketches/designing/architectural drawings/etc
