How do you get into, and out of these ?

Through the big open bit at the top.

Are these suitable for the sea ( good conditions) as opposed to just lochs

Very good conditions, yes. Anything less than very good wouldn't be advisable. They catch any wind immediately upon stopping paddling. Better in sheltered coastal spots, harbours and the like. Excellent on lakes and calm water.

Is this better than something like decathlon.co.uk/p/1…563? I probably only need it to be for 2 people, but the decathlon one does say it holds 2 or 3.

Pretty much same length, think 3 adults would be a squeeze tho, allegedly carries 230kg vs 155 for the Aqua. Drop stitch floor imho wins my vote for Aqua. Think Amazon awaiting stock, Wiggle have it too

I have just purchased an aqua marine kayak. After a lot of deliberation. Then decathlon charging for delivery. I opted for the laxo. I took it out to St Neots today. It was awesome. Can’t Recomend it highly enough. Very similar to this one. On the aqua marine website you can compare models.

Looks decent, but I would feel uncomfortable paddling around on a Kayak that has 'Memba' written across the side of it.

Just make sure you buy the biggest one and use an electric pump so everyone hears it vibrating

Dropstitch floor makes all the difference to these inflatable kayaks. I have a similar model and its really capable. Electric inflator makes life easier.

Aqua Marina Memba, Leisure Drop Stitch Inflatable Kayak Package 390cm 2 person £290 @ Amazon"

"I don't own either but I'm on a couple of inflatabale kayak groups on facebook and both the x100 and Memba seem to be loved by their owners. x100 is...impressed with the quality. The pump was a bit pants (I've now bought an itiwit floor pump) but looking at the images, the Memba comes with a different pump anyway

Dropstitch is the way to go. I'm hoping these increase in popularity and the prices drop, allowing me to replace my kayak. This looks like a good deal. 🔥

Does anyone own this? Is it comfortably big enough for 2 people (6ft & 5’9) or is it better looking for a 3 person and use it for 2. Cheers

I'm thinking of buying a kayak when I move virtually next to the Atlantic, lakes and sea loughs in NW Ireland. Obviously I'd be better off with a rigid kayak as I don't need to transport it far if at all or are there any other advantages to inflatables?
