Keep in mind this is 36mm, so technically a women's model.

The Black Bay 32, 36 and 41 bring a more formal feel to the Black Bay models. Like other models in the Black Bay line, they feature a dial inspired by the Tudor divers’ watches produced during the 1950s. These contemporary models boast characteristics of the first generation of Tudor divers’ watches.

36mm case * 44mm lug-to-lug is a great size for 7" wrist and smaller. Dial probably isn't much smaller than some dive watches, and the great white-on-black visibility means practicality hasn't been sacrificed due to size. Cheap for a Tudor, but expensive for what I believe (in this older model) is just a modified ETA 2824. (edited)

The 32 is a woman's model. The 36 is unisex and suits a very wide range of people. I am a very big bloke, and I have several 36mm watches I wear.

Indeed, historically the only watches with greater than 40mm width were on tool watches where the larger size was beneficial for functionality, e.g. chronos or divers - even then there were plenty below 40mm. The move towards larger dials on men's watches is relatively recent, the past 30 years or so.

Go back further and they were even smaller, I inherited a 1953 men's watch a few years ago with a 28mm case, tiny now but not at all unusual at the time. (edited)

It is a lot of money for the watch tbh. I'm not an in-house calibre snob but I am struggling to see the value here apart from the branding.

Calling a 36mm watch a women's model is just silly.
In the last few years we have seen less and less gender separation when it comes to watches, women wear large watches now just as well as men, and it suits them.

Yup, agree with you lot. My first watch this size for my average sized 7" wrist took a bit of adjusting to, mainly coz I was used to various divers, but now I have 3. A Smith's Everest, Bulova Spaceview (35mm) & a Yema Skin diver. (edited)

Nice with the Spaceview, have you seen the 2020 version?

I would get this over every man & his dog Rolex & other bland watches people only covet because of brand popularity

This looks like a watch you could get in a Christmas cracker.

And where do you buy your Christmas crackers? Asking for a friend

    Size size size.

Discounted for a reason. Least popular of the BB watches by a country mile, and a relatively unpopular size. Cold.

Tudor make beautiful watches, if it’s not for you then so be it.

In the metal its a very nice watch, it doesnt look much thats true, but it is.

Wouldnt pay this for it on the fabric strap though.

Almost identical to an Explorer which makes sense as the sister brand to Rolex.

It is super plain but if it was a stainless strap and had a Rolex logo, people would say how beautiful it is, funny how changing the brand changes perspective

36mm is a good size for a watch that doesn't have a thick rotating bezel. With a diver style bezel it would be tiny. It's usually the dial size alone in relation to the wrist that makes it look too big or too small imo.

I wouldn't buy a Tudor without the new in-house caliber though. I want that 70h power reserve and wouldn't pay near 2k for the standard ETA-2824. (edited)
