Pretty cracking deal for release day. A whopping 40% off the RRP (£29 as opposed to the £49 it was earlier this week)

The Elite Edition can be found on the same site for £40 (another 42% off compared to RRP)

I've personally purchased this from ShopTo today and the key was delivered instantly and I was able to redeem on Steam straight away.

I ordered this this morning and Shopto are struggling with getting codes but hope to have it sorted asap.

Good game so far I bought it on Xbox and I’m enjoying it for what it is. I don’t care about CAW stuff I’m happy with just playing it.

Yea same here, opted for the elite edition as cheaper option than buying the season pass seperate, same excuses about waiting for THQ to send them codes.... sigh.

Gameplay looks terrible compared to wwe 2k23. Will be super cheap shortly.

It's not meant to play like 2K23 to be fair or look anything like realistic. It's an arcade game at heart. I don't know how old you are but it's going back to the likes of No Mercy on the N64 that us "old folks" remember fondly. If you're born after that I can see why it might look less appealing, but for me it's going back to the simple but good old games of WWF with this one.

It’s not a bad game, rough around the edges but a good starting point for them.

I thought this was going to be on Gamepass being on that Xbox showcase a few months ago. You could tell some thing was up when the embargo was 1 day before launch.

Watching gameplay, reviews and playing it through a friends copy. This comes off as a very weak version of Day of Reckoning 2. With none of the charm, love, care or attention to detail. Though the be fair this game sums AEW up to a tee:

This game is buggy, glitchy, lack of depth, poor writing, poor story mode which is just a larger version of the campaign of WWF Just Bring It, lack of match types, poor confusing roster with poorly choice for DLC, with only 4 teams on launch, no actual in-ring commentary, only 4 wrestlers at the ring at one time in (2023) the list goes on.

Though looking at developed this game, I’d expect so much for from Yukes who have been doing this for decades now.

Art style is fine as it’s a different look ok more arcade like, not OOT like WWE-All Stars, it's something thats fine.

Though the interactive scenery looks good.

At this point Yuke/AEW games - this game is not worth the high price tag.

Wait for the price to drop to £20 at the most or when it’s on a free trial. (edited)

who managed to buy it get their codes?

Edit - it’s back! Thanks, OP. (edited)

Yeah, I think for full price I understand why the reviews are how they are, but for £29 its pretty great IMO, having a lot of fun with it

Hopefully we see this price on consoles shortly also.

Thats what I'm waiting on. Apparently it plays like No Mercy which is promising
  8. deleted44777's avatar
I would wait a couple of months. I could see this getting a massive discount due to the short career mode and poor create a wrestler mode
  9. neilly93's avatar
Does it play on Steam Deck, does anyone know?
    harrymorrell2010's avatar
Yes penta has been playing it on there
