    Imported eggs from Italy ? Why ? Sainsburys apparently said it was a temporary thing whilst the “so called egg shortage” was happening, Save your money and buy eggs locally and support our UK farmers

    That’s easier said than done. I am in the industry and most farmers (commercial size) are choosing to sell to retailers in order to maintain future sales. Plus it’s a guaranteed sell at a higher volume which reduces their cost because lord knows they need it.
