    Is this OK for a drive for Standard pc? Not any server, nas etc. Just for files.

    It would be OK... They're intended for more active use, then pc spin up and wind down... Honestly for pc go for baracuda, it's cheaper

    Just a word of warning of buying hard drives from Amazon -- they normally come just slung in a box and insufficient "brown paper" internal packaging. You're better off getting from an actual computer parts retailer that ships them in proper foam padding, etc.

    I snapped up two of these earlier. Perfect for my Synology DS220+ that I also have arriving (£308). Although after, I did see that Synology have refurbished versions of previous models, like the almost identical DS218+ (£214).
