Why are people talking about the Solidigm Synergy Driver when the deal is for an Intel 670P? Seems a bit odd?
    Ashe's avatar
Because Intel sold their SSD business to SK hynix, and the new products are branded Solidigm.

    Great drive, great price.

Make sure to download the Solidigm Synergy Toolkit (Windows) to accompany this. It installs a driver which I believe unlocks a (admittedly small) bit of performance and also has a nice interface to monitor any other SSDs in your system.

I was just linking it as you posted, deleted it now lol.

QLC is trash. Would wait for the TLC ones to start coming down more

I'm not a fan of QLC in general, but these SSD's are actually very good (unlike the 660P which had a few reliability issues).

Having DRAM improves endurance and general responsiveness, as an OS drive these are swift as the firmware is well optimised.

Obviously it's not going to be good for very frequent write intensive tasks (e.g. video editing), but for the average user/gamer/etc the endurance is more than enough. (edited)

Great price, great drive for OS and Apps, and lighter workloads.

Had it for a year, been fine (Still 98% life left). Was £55 when I bought it, which was a good price at the time.

If you are able to do the Amazon Photos deal, using the voucher could get this down to £20.99!

I didn't think this had DRAM? I though it was QVO NAND with a SLC NAND cache? (edited)

Heat added. Great price this. I was thinking it was a good price at £39.99. Shame I bought the WD 770 for more but I think that should be a better drive (edited)

This NVMe is designed to be a first class OS and Boot drive. Just about the only product currently made by Intel that can be recommended these days.

Is it good for AAA games? And what’s the Total write?

Will this go in a PS5? Yes
    Will it work though? No
Eh? Why not? Because it is PCIe 3.0 ya dummy.
    Thanks

Also worth noting that if - for some reason - you want to run Intel RST or RAID on a Gen10 or later system it requires Intel drives such as these.
