Just bought one of these for less than a tenner from ebay, they don't do a great job of transferring data and get nowhere near 130mb/s.

They storage size is accurate but the time it might take to fill up the space makes it unviable IMHO

I looked on Ebay after reading your review and can see some for about £9 all from China. Maybe they are genuine, but maybe not - that might explain the quality issues you mention. I've plumped for the Spanish deal here - but thanks for taking the time to give your thoughts so we can weigh things up. (edited)

It's cheap for a pocketable flash drive but price-wise, it's about the same as a recent 480GB SSD + cheap enclosure, which will be much faster and more reliable at the expense of size and convenience. Had too many flash drives just give up for no apparent reason to want to store lots of data on one - Kingston Exodia worked once from new then never again, only £3 from Amazon and got a refund, but still...

Seems good, I'm not knocking it, but according to my calculations, based on their statements, this might take 9 hours or longer to copy 128MB from PC...

"COMMON STATEMENT FOR ARTICLES OF ALL CAPACITIES: Read speed up to 130 MB/s. Writing to the drive is up to 10 times faster than a standard USB 2.0 drive (4MB/s). Requires a USB 3.0 port. Based on internal testing; performance may be lower depending on host device. 1MB = 1,000,000 bytes."

Fastest drives ever, have a 32gb that's eats all the newer other brands for breakfast, this is the wrong device, I thought this was the extreme (edited)

The Ultra Flair and Extreme are Sandisk’s really fast ones. The standard Ultra is fairly mid-range normally.
