About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
All Certified Refurbished Steam Decks include:
Each Certified Refurbished Steam Deck has been thoroughly tested to the same high standards as our retail units. Every device goes through a complete factory reset, software update, and an extensive examination involving over 100 tests at one of Valve's facilities. Among the tests are all controller inputs, the audio system, the screen, and internals. Battery health is also assessed to ensure proper functionality and longevity.
All refurbished units meet or even exceed the performance standards of new retail units. Although they may have minor cosmetic blemishes, they provide a reliable, high-quality gaming experience at a lower cost.
Portability meets power
We partnered with AMD to create Steam Deck's custom APU, optimized for handheld gaming. It is a Zen 2 + RDNA 2 powerhouse, delivering more than enough performance to run the latest AAA games in a very efficient power envelope.
Your Steam Library, anywhere
All models use socketed 2230 m.2 modules (not intended for end-user replacement)
All models include high-speed microSD card slot
*Some 256GB and 512GB models ship with a PCIe Gen 3 x2 SSD. In our testing, we did not see any impact to gaming performance between x2 and x4.
- The same one year warranty as a new Steam Deck (unless longer as determined by your country of residence)
- A refurbished power supply - fully tested (may have minor cosmetic marks)
- Carrying case and Quick Start guide

sorted byThe Steam Deck is a 7-inch handheld that runs games from Steam (and other PC games), similar to a Nintendo Switch (review). Generally it requires internet access to download games at first, but those games are often playable offline.
Buy the 64GB version and 'for now' try it with a 256GB/512GB/1TB micro sd card (and upgrade the internal drive 'at some point').
Search Steam for games "Verified" or "Playable" on the Steam Deck or browse those "Great on Deck"
Check the compatibility of games in your library (in client, visit Steam Deck page, follow link titled "Check your library's compatibility").
ProtonDB lists games sorted by user score and those Verified for Steam Deck sorted by user score
Install EA Play / Epic Games and GOG (Heroic Launcher) / Itch.io launchers
Play emulated games on it (pcgamer.com/ste…on/ or EmuDeck)
Play Xbox Game Pass Cloud Gaming games (list) on it (saves battery vs running Windows), also Xbox Remote Play.
Play PS5/PS4 games remotely
Add Chrome shortcuts for Disney Plus, Netflix, Spotify etc.
VibrantDeck (for brighter images, pretend you have OLED) with Decky Loader.
CryoUtilities 2.0 for better game performance
Battery life guides (turn down frame rate etc., e.g. optimise the demanding God of War from 1.5hr to 2.5hr. Less demanding 2D/strategy/streaming games last 5/6hrs. Buy a battery pack?

Then you consider the new quest 3 which is coming out. Which will be 2.4 teraflops vs this at 1.6 and offers full vr experience portable with 9x the resolution of the steam deck. That's the future of portable gaming.
I own and love mine and have a 1tb SSD in it now but wish I got the cheapest model (I got the 256gb).
Brilliant device though, either way.
If you’ve got a gaming PC already, worth considering that option, especially if you’re a filthy casual like me if I didn’t already have that, I’d buy a deck in a heartbeat!
The Switchs big advantage is portability. The Deck is big and cumbersome and takes up half your travel bag. If you plan on gaming on the go regularly and want to travel light, I think the switch is the better option.
Steam Deck is for people who NEED mobile PC gaming with high compatibility, and excellent support, including a massive active community.
It is not some over-priced executive toy for fools with more money than sense- so it is practical above all else. For the man-children who love to buy themselves expensive hi-tech toys they never use, there are plenty of 'better' ways to waste your money. This is for people who actually buy items they need.
In other words, there is a real market for people who would love to sit at a good gaming PC, but cannot. They need to grab their gaming time whenever they can, at a moments notice, anywhere. Steam Deck allows the possibility of PC gaming for people who would otherwise have to give it up. And that is why the device has proven so popular. For those that don't get it, understand there are people who live different lives to you.
I've honestly barely used mine since buying last September, other than some Diablo 4 when it had first come out but was getting under 2 hours battery on that.
I simply installed Balder's Gate 3 earlier, took around an hour and it started with 88% battery and ended with 30%.
I like the idea of it, and sure it's great for some Indies, but am getting closer and closer to eBaying mine. (edited)
Just need to have plenty of space on your storage or SD card because PS3 games are alot larger
Nintendo switch runs like a dream too just finished metroid dream at 60 fps
Last of us ps3 wouldn't run properly but you can now run the remaster on steam through the deck anyway too (edited)
But if you really want one now, paying an extra £90 is better than not having one at all.
Received my from the Netherlands within a week of purchase. It’s packaged like receiving a new Deck except there is an insert with “Refurbished” printed on there with all the other branding.
Excellent experience overall.
The Deck is just so much more practical and I use the Deck about 70% of the time now - the main reason for this is Fast Suspend.
Being able to quickly pick up a game where I left it off has changed the way I game massively - I don't have to wait for the PC to start, load the game, etc etc - I can just pick up my Deck and play instantly when I've only got 20 minutes free.
For reference I've been playing Baldurs Gate on it, absolutely amazing. (edited)
best portable I've purchased
zero bad points for me.
I mainly use mine for my existing Steam library, indie games, and emulation (which it is excellent).
